I move my shades out of the way and see the sky littered with snowflakes dancing to the ground. I frown a bit. Hopefully flights won't be delayed today, Tyler is supposed to be coming up.
I rub my arms and plop into the couch next to my husky, Shiba, then turn on the news. I drape a blanket around my shoulders and wait for the weather. My phone starts ringing so I answer it, seeing it's him.
"I'm so excited." Is the first thing he says. I smile.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah! It's been so long!" I remember the day I moved up to Minnesota, we were six. Our parents made sure to keep us in touch. They were the reason we became friends, they introduced us when we were babies.
"It has hasn't it?" I sigh. "I can't wait."
"I'm boarding now, I gotta go." He says, sounding a little distracted.
"Okay, see you soon!"
"Bye." I hang up and put my phone down. I slowly get up to get ready.
I walk into my room and open up my pants drawer. I take out a pair of black skinny jeans then move to my shirts. I grab a grey sweater with a black heart. I get a pair of random socks, underwear, and a new bra, then head to the bathroom. I turn on the shower and get undressed out of my PJs, stepping in. The cold water makes me jump out of the way of the stream. I hold my hand out and once I feel it warm up I step under it, taking a quick rinse. I use my favorite smelling body wash.
I get out and pull my hair up into a towel, drying off my body with another one. I get dressed and take my hair out of my towel, brushing out all the snarls. I brush my teeth and put on a little make-up before heading to the door to put on a pair of grey vans. I get my winter jacket and a hat then put them on. I grab my phone and keys before walking out the door, locking it behind me.
I get into my car, buckle up, and start it, pulling out of the driveway, thus starting my trip to Minneapolis from Anoka. The flight only takes an hour and 54 minutes. I'd spent an hour getting ready and my drive is only 37 minutes. There are barely any people in the roads.
*time skippy john jones to the airport*
I find a parking spot and get out, heading into the airport. I get into Terminal B and see his plane on the screen on incoming flights. I grow excited, I can't wait to see how much he changed. We'd never really seen each other since I moved, we'd call and text each other and sometimes play a few video games together.
I get a text and it's from him. He's landed and getting off. I watch for him as a huge group of people flood into the airport. I search the faces and then I see him. My jaw almost hits the floor, puberty must've got him like a truck... I mean damn. Our eyes meet and I see his mouth open slightly before he smiles and runs up to me, his suitcase trailing behind him
He wraps me in a tight hug. "(Y/N)!" My cheeks heat up as I hug him back. He lets me go.
"Hey, Ty!" I smile.
*another time skip to your house, because I'm lazy JK*
I unlock the door and we rush in, I close the door quickly. I start taking my jacket off and my shoes. Tyler kicks off his soggy tennis shoes and slips off his thin jacket. Shiba runs up to me, barking at Tyler. I laugh, petting her.
"Shh, Shiba be quiet! He's nice!" Ty reaches his hand out to her and she sniffs it. Her tail begins to wag and she starts licking it. "There ya go."
"Oh wow." He laughs and I look at him.
"What?" I stand up straighter.
"You can tell you've lived in Minnesota a while." He smirks and I punch his arm playfully.
