Subhanalillah!
I exclaimed holding my hand to my chest,I have a strange feeling I said
Why are people gather in front of our house?Why is Baba Gambo here?
Nana kept asking series of questions but my mind was far from giving her any answers.
I was lost, confused and worried
I silently prayed,I just hope all is well
I greeted the men sitting in front of our house,mostly Baba's friend and a few relatives
Most of them were praying while others were looking sad
We entered and found Mama crying she looked so lost
I looked around for Islam,
I was scared,I hope it is not Islam I prayed silently I know she has been sick but I left her this morning feeling much better
Some neighbors were her also,I don't think all is well I said to myself,I felt fear all through me, confused
I asked but no reply,everyone seemed to be out of this world.
Then Aunty Zahra Baba's only sister told me the news about my beloved dad
My dad is nor more,the Man I have known all my life is nor more
I felt my world collapsed,all I saw was darkness,I couldn't feel or here anything again.
I felt someone shook me vigorously
Wake up!Wake up Yaya!
Nana said crying
"Please don't leave us too,that was when I noticed I had fainted
I opened my eyes to see a crying Nana holding me,it going to be alright she said but I was lost my mind was so far
Baba was all I said
Nana Baba has gone,
"verily from God we come,to him we shall return I said looking at the ceiling blankly.
I got up and then join the others to pray for my dad,he passed away this morning while we were away for *Tala*,he was seated on his mat quietly when he passed away,Mama didn't noticed till when she went to wake him up for breakfast around 11:00am,she was shocked to find out that her beloveth was gone,that was when she entered a comma,it was her screamed that made our neighbors to come in,
The ritual prayers and burial was done before we came back,we were not fortunate to see Baba for the last time.
I pray he finds peace i said silently while weeping alongside with my sisters.
