Chapter 53

-Authors Note-
I normally don't do chapters like this, but I realized alot of people would probably like a flashback of Leonardo and Karais "Night".

The reason being the whole story is from Roxanne's POV, but hey this should be fun.

"Can I play some dramatic harp music for the intro of the flashback?"

I just imagined Mikey asking.

I think someone is off their meds again...

Just kidding, I don't take any meds.
But maybe I should, hahaha!

"Sure imaginary Michelangelo, you can play the harp."

(Insert Beautiful harp music here)

I was awoken by the sound of someone walking by me.

Opening my eyes just slightly I found myself in a strange place.

I wasn't in the large king sized bed of my room, tucked safely into my black silk sheets, my beautiful collection of paintings of futile Japan adorning the walls.

I was in an abandoned subway terminal.
Red bricks giving the place a dark earthly feel.

Then I remembered...

I was laying against Leonardo's shoulder on the couch,
He was sleeping quite peacefully, and had his arm wrapped protectively around my shoulder.

The sound of a door creaking open caught my attention.

Lifting my head off the sleeping mutant I looked behind me towards the hall.

Roxanne slipped inside of The Scientist turtles Laboratory.

At this hour, What for?
My curiosity got the best of me.

Donatello, his name is Donatello!
I reminded myself, he is family now, I must stop putting up my walls.

I waited and heard a sleepy groan and some shuffling from inside the Lab.

5 seconds later later The Girl was leading the drowsy purple clad ninja across the hall.

"Donnie, you should know better then to work yourself till you pass out on your desk."

She scolded. him disapprovingly, one hand on his wrist on the other under his arm, keeping him upright, as she slowly walked him to what must have been his room.
I could clearly tell he was sleep walking.

A few seconds later she closed the door behind her, smiling and shaking her head.

She didn't notice me watching her.

Leonardo started to stir beside me.

She opened another door and peeked inside.

Something that sounded like a large animal being strangled cried out from the room.

My eyes went wide.

Karai's beautiful face looked a little frightened by that deafening sound that Iv grown up with.

"It's just Mikey."
I reassured her.

"Is there something wrong with him?!"
I sensed a hint of compassion in her voice.
