This is extremely important, and not something that comes naturally. We are our worst critiques, and that's something that needs to be changed. You speak to a child calmly and rationally in order to nurture their mental health, and care for them. that should be no different for yourself.
Here's some ways to treat yourself the way you'd treat a child:
•if you do something wrong, don't get angry with yourself. Just try correcting it and move on.
•show yourself appreciation. If you did something good, tell yourself that
•if you know you're near something that you could potentially harm yourself with, take it away.
•don't deliberately hurt yourself. Physically and mentally
•don't degrade yourself. You are just as important as any other person, and should treat yourself with respect
•don't put yourself down. Would you tell a child they need to change their physical appearance or call them stupid? No.
•be gentle with yourself
•feed yourself. You need food.
•treat yourself every once in a while
•take your blanket and throw it in the dryer for a couple of minutes before snuggling up in it. It's cozy, and will be greatly appreciate
