I don't know how long I stayed in that alleyway - beaten and broken... But somehow, Con manages to find me and take me back to his place. When we arrive, he puts me down on the couch and runs upstairs - I assume to go get the first aid kit.

When he is back downstairs, I look at him, still feeling my face burn, "How did you find me, Con?"

"With the tracker."

"The what-"

"Nothing, I went to search for you and I found the car by accident."

He looks at me - grief plastered on his face, "Who did this to you?" Then he places a hand on my chin and turns my face around so he could look at it.

"I think something is going on with Rice and that guy at the Funhouse we saw." I bundle my hands into fists, angry at what this guy did to me, "She needs our help Con - "

"No - not right now." He rests a hand on my cheek and pulls me closer to him, "Look at you - you're hurt... " He gently brushes his fingers across my split lip, and I try to stop the wince of pain. "No homo," he continues, kissing me on the lips. "Numbs the pain."

"Mmmm," I mumble, savoring the moment.

"Your nose is bleeding. Here, I'll get some gauze to stop the bleeding," he mutters, distracted by my lips.

As he ruffles through the first aid kit, I pull myself together. I stop slouching and clear my throat, making sure I won't have any voice cracks when I next speak.

Con turns back around with bandages, gauze, stitches, and a bunch of other stuff I was pretty sure I don't need. "So, uh, I didn't know how bad your injuries are, so I got everything," he says shyly, scratching the back of his neck.

"Thanks, man," I reply casually, even though I was dying a little inside at his cuteness.

Con steps up in between my legs for a better angle before he begins to stitch up my busted lip. My heart starts to beat faster at his close proximity, similar to what I felt at our second visit to The Funhouse. He begins to stitch up my lip, giving me some booze to numb the pain while he does it. When he finishes, his eyes flicker up to mine, and a ghost of a smile dances across his lips. Con gives me some gauze for my nose, and I stick them up my nostrils to stop the bleeding.

Con laughs at me, since I probably look weird with gauze up my nose.

I fake a wince, making Con stop chuckling.

"Here, let me get you some pain meds," he says, concerned, rushing out of the bathroom another time before I could protest. Con comes back a minute later, with some Tylenol and water.

"Uh, Con... I just had an alcoholic drink... I don't think I should be taking pills right now," I explain.

"O-Oh... oops. Sorry about that," he says, awkwardly.

"That's alright. It was cute to see you so concerned about me," I say, activating my dimples. He gives me an embarrassed laugh, running a hand through his hair. I get up and impulsively reach my hand up and touch his hair, making him freeze. I run my hand through his soft strands of dark hair, and I hear a low groan come from him.

"W-What are you doing?" He stutters, nervously.

"Nothing," I grin, activating my dimples again. I get serious, "Thanks, Con, for rescuing me. I don't know what would've happened to me without you; I'm really glad that you're my partner," I say sincerely.

Con looks taken aback by my genuine confession. I even see a flash of guilt go through his eyes, probably because he wasn't able to protect me, "No problem, I'm really glad that you're my partner too... " he admits.

"So, what'd you find at The Funhouse?" I ask, changing the subject.

"Hmm, how about we talk about that tomorrow... I'm exhausted and I can tell you are too," Con says, making me look at the clock beside the couch. 4:20 A.M., it reads.

"Yeah, sure," I mutter, suddenly feeling the effects of today. My eyes droop as I begin to lay my body across the couch.

"No, man... come on. You can take the left side of the bed," Con says, grabbing me and pulling me towards his bedroom.

Barely registering his words, I drag my feet across the floor, my eyes closed. When we got to the destination, I collapse on the bed, falling asleep right away. I faintly feel Con drape a blanket across my body right before I felt a weight fall next to me.
