I wake up, not feeling any relief whatsoever. I check my flip phone and see that it's only 6 P.M. Maybe I should take a break from investigating. Last time I tried to take a break I ended up meeting someone who knew Devan, which isn't a really good break. I should go out tonight, maybe go to the local hot springs? Nah, too many people, especially on a weekend. I could just stroll the streets and see what's happening. That'd be nice, I suppose.

Sighing, I enter my room once again to see how Connor is doing. As I look around, I notice Connor isn't here. All I see is a messy bed, without Connor in it. Confused, I decide to see if he went back to his own room. I walk over to his room and open the door. He's not here either. He could've gone somewhere without telling me. I text him, just to make sure.

Hey Con, did you go out somewhere?

A few seconds later, I get a quick reply, compared to me.

Yeah, don't worry, I'll be back soon. I'm just checking out something for some friends.

Some friends? I wonder who, I thought he had no friends. Could his friends be... everyone who had a W.T.S ring? Not wanting to be nosy, I decide to leave the matter alone for now. I put on my super slick black coat and gay fedora and head out. Walking along the crosswalks, I look up at the sky, lost in thought. I'm thinking of anything specific. I'm just thinking of everything jumbled together.

Aimlessly wandering around the streets, I spot a certain crowd behind a run-down building that no one lives in. Upon closer inspection, I realize that it was a crowd surrounding a fight. I run over to stop it, as it is my duty as an investigaytor. Rushing to the middle of the crowd, I notice a familiar face. Kaz. He was fighting with another man on the street.

Now in the inner part of the crowd, I yell out to him, "Kaz! Stop it!"

Surprised by my sudden call out, he loses balance and is thrown to the ground by the other. The other man then sits on top of Kaz, kind of like he was riding him. Before the man was able to punch Kaz, I push him off of him, taking the hit instead.

"Fuck," Kaz curses, bringing a hand up to my face. Before bringing me out of the crowd, he punches the other guy one last time, knocking him unconscious.

I groan in pain as blood spurts out my nose. Still, I chuckle at the irony. My previous bloody nose was caused by Kaz... and now it's Kaz coming to my rescue. Kaz gestures that I follow him, most likely so I can get my nose cleaned. Despite not knowing where we are going, I still follow him, wanting to get this cleaned up as soon as possible.

"You're not going to ask where we're going?" he questions.

"Well, I assumed your place. Where else would we be going?"... love hotel duh.

Kaz thinks about that for a moment, then sighs. "Guess you're right."

By walking at a fast pace, we're able to reach Kaz's place in just a few minutes, though I felt like dying at times during that timeframe. Not long afterwards, Kaz stops and pulls out his wallet.

"What's that for?" I say, tapping my foot, "I thought we were going to your place."

"We are." He takes out a fancy looking card and then walks up to a fancy looking building to swipe that specific fancy looking card against a very secretly placed card swiping mechanism.

No... he doesn't live here. No - that's not where he lives nope, nope, not at all. I'm gonna turn around right now.

"Where are you going?" he questions, holding the door open for me, I assume.
