I stand there staring like a fool
He turns around and sees me. He makes eye contact.
I can see in his eyes that he is very surprised too.
I don't know whether I should go talk to him or walk away.
But before I can decide, he and the others walk up to me.
"Hey Sophie,,haven't seen you in a while, we've all missed you," they exclaim in one jumbled sentence.
Before I could say anything I am being engulfed in a group hug.
When I am released I say,
"Ya, I've missed you guys.''
Gosh, this is very awkward.
"Ooo, look Pink Berry, lets go get some!" shouts Calum like a young child.
They all run over to the shop, except for Luke.
"Hey Sophie," he says plainly.
"Hi Luke," I reply with the same blan tone.
"I've really missed seeing you," he mumbles
"Yeah, I've missed you too," I say.
There is no sound or movement from either of us, then suddenly Luke pipes up.
"Listen Sophie, breaking up with you was the worst decision I've ever made. I really miss being with you."
"I miss being with you too, but-" I am cut off before I can finish.
"Do you wanna go out with me again. I can't live without you Sophie,"
I don't say anything for a while. I personally think it's a little soon for this. We haven't even seen each other in a year.
"Will you?" he asks again, scratching his head nervously.
"Luke, I am a changed person. We're over, and you know that. We haven't seen each other in a year.I'm sorry, but I don't think I can handle the pain again," I say.
"I am changed too Sophie, I will never break your heart. I promise.'
"That's what you said last time," I murmur.
"Please Sophie. I truly love you,"
"I'm sorry, but I can't do this. Bye Luke." I say while tuning out of the mall with tears in my eyes.
I honestly don't know what to do. A part of me doesn't want to get back with Luke, but another does. I don't know if I still love him.
I honestly don't know what to do anymore...
