All Everett can hear when Amelia picks up is a yawn.

"Are you tired?"

"Yeah, a bit"

"Then go to sleep Amels," he says ever so gently. "No one's forcing you to stay awake."

"No, it's not that I don't want to go to sleep, it's the fact that I can't," she huffs in annoyance.

Everett just chuckles. "Isn't it a bit ironic the girl helping people with insomnia has insomnia?"

"Ugh, shut up Ev, I'm not in the mood."

"Ev?" There's a tint of amusement in his voice when he asks.

"Yeah, you call me 'Amels,' I can call you Ev. Is that fine?"

"Yeah, it's fine. You sound so cute saying my name like that." A laughter erupts out of him.

"Okay, Ev."

"20 questions?"

"Is this gonna be our thing?"

"Yeah," he pauses. 

 "It will be."

"Okay."

"You start first since I started first last time."

"Okay. Do you live with your parents?"

"Parent, as in singular, yeah."

"Oh, uh, I'm sorry for bringing it up."

"It's fine, it's for the best.

"Have you ever loved someone, like in a romantic way?"

"No, I mean, unless small crushes count."

"Same," Amelia sighed.

"Do you play any instruments?"

"You just went though."

"Oh, sorry."

"It's fine. Just the guitar and ukulele. How about you?"

"Piano."

"Do you sing too?"

"yeah,"

"Sing for me one day."

The only reply he gets are very small snores and shuffling in the bed.

"Goodnight my little piano player."

Coincidence or not, Amelia slept with a smile on her face.
