The meeting

I rushed home and opened the door

"MACY?" I yell "MACY, ARE YOU HOME?"

No answer

I sigh and walk towards the fridge

Just as I was about to open it, I saw a note on the fridge

"Dear Sammy

I'm sorry I couldn't tell you this but I had to go on an emergency trip to Washington and won't be home for 6 days

Like I said, I'm sorry I couldn't be here with you

There's about $100 in the hiding spot to last you through the 6 days

If you need anymore just use your credit card

I know you are responsible so I don't have to tell you to use the money carefully

I sighed

So it's gonna be a week without her

Great

I look at the time and I see that it's about 3:40 pm

I go upstairs and have a shower and change into some fresh clothes

I pulled out a grey tank top and wore a plaid shirt as a jacket over it

Then wore my black ripped jeans and my black an white converse

I go and throw my previous clothes and gym clothes in the laundry and grab my skateboard and head to the skatepark

I reach there in 10 minutes and have 5 to spare

I open the gate and walk in

I look around

A few guys are on the ramps and then I see George Kopper and head towards him

" Hey Samuel" George says as I walk towards him and the rest of the group

Man, why does everyone have nicknames for me?

"Sup' George?" I reply as I sit between jerry and Leon

Now Leon, he's a cool dude

He's very laid back and chilled out

And he's pretty nice

"Hey Lewis" Leon says

"Hey there Tyler" I reply as he glares at me

He hates people calling him by his last name

"Hey,how are you sam? I heard what happened at school" Jerry whispers to me

I gave him a sympathetic smile and mouthed the words "I'm fine" to him

We all were butted out of our conversations when George cleared his throat

"Okay first of all, we have two new members" he then points to two hipster looking guys next to him " Well guys, this is Danny and Simon"

I looked over to them

Hmm Simon isn't bad on the eyes

He looks at me and then winks

And my response was rolling my eyes

They sat down with the others as George started to speak

"Well as you might or might not know, we are the only skatepark in this area who has a female skater that is better than a lot of boys" George looked at me "so congrats Sam"

Everyone started clapping while I was smiling really big

"Okay, so there is the annual skate park battle coming up in about two months and unlike my brothers, I am not that competitive but I want you guys to go out there and give it all you got"

"Do we have to enter?" Leon asked

"No, it's completely your choice, you just have to sign your name on the board near the first aid box to compete and that's it for now so go and smash it" he said

I got up to walk away when someone grabbed my arm

I turned around, only to see it was George

"Hey Sam" he said awkwardly

"Hey George, is everything alright?" I replied

He looked at the ground and said "Oh yeah everything's fine, great actually but I was just wondering if you maybe wanna I don't know go on a date with me?"

He finished that incredibly long sentence as he looked up to me

Aww

He's so sweet

"Yeah, I would love to" I replied with a smile on my face

"Really, that's awesome!,I'll call you" he said as he kissed me on my cheek and ran off with a huge smile plastered on his face

I turned around, looked at the ground and shook my head

What a dork

I walked away with a smile on my face

Maybe this is a chance to get over the guy I just met

"I got a date with lily"

It kept going through my head

Maybe he was happy with her

And maybe I should give George a chance

He is a very charming guy after all

But not as charming as Rory ...
