I Walk A Lonely Road

The girl was late to golf practice again because she had to take the bus instead of the ride she used to take, but luckily the girl team was on the range today. Surprisingly so was the boys team for the start of practice.
She got the clicker from the boy, she stored her clubs in his garage, then went and fetched the clubs.
During golf practice she was alone again, but this time she didn't care. Everyone had gone to a tournament but her, and she was determined to be good enough to go to the next one.
She tried out a few if her different clubs, her 7 iron hitting the balls pretty far. Then she pulled out a club that looked like a smaller version of a driver, and hit the balls so far with that one. She cheered when she saw her ball had landed on the grass island in the center if the lake, it was the first time she had hit a ball that far! Once again she smacked the ball, and landed on the island again. She was finally happy at golf practice.
Then it was time to putt, and her mood dropped just as suddenly as it had soared.
She took a break and pulled out her phone, checking for messages from her mom.
Seeing she had one, she called her mom because it was hard to type on her busted phone. She made the travel arrangements with her mom, she would wait at Walmart for her mom to pick her up.
Once she got to Walmart, her mom texted that she needed to walk home because San Antonio traffic was hell during rush hour.
So she turned on her offline playlist, ready for the mix of music. It was mostly EqG movie songs, with a handful of Minecraft ones sprinkled into the mix.
She started on the road home, not bothering to watch for cars because she was just pissed off at this point. She began to think of how she'd phrase her story when she wrote it down on Wattpad as she walked to the beat of one of the EqG songs.
As she kept walking a few huge trucks rumbled past, throwing dirt and grit into her eyes. She didn't pause, only wiped the dirt from her eyes and kept going.
The sunset was beautiful that day, but she was worried because she was only halfway home by that point.
She kept going, her only though was of the song that fit perfectly with her plight. The single line of I walk a lonely road she knew was running through her head as she walked.
A few times this one guy on a bike kept passing her. Maybe he was exercising? She shook her head to clear away the unneeded thought and kept going.
She crossed the street twice, once to get across the 4 way intersection and one to get on the right side if the street. She saw a bit she knew waving at her from a car, but thought nothing if it and kept going.
She was about 3/4tg of the way home when the boy's mother pulled up and offered her a ride. She accepted gratefully, and thus got home before dark.
