"ARE YOU SURE about your chosen program?"

"Opo."

"Can you handle it?" tanong niya muli.

"I can po. For my dream," tugon ko at ipinagpatuloy ang pagkain.

"Okay."

Today is the first day of my college journey, and this is where the main events, twists and conflicts in the story will appear.

I'm mentally preparing myself for the stress that I'll be facing this time, but at the same time, the thrill of, finally, learning the program I want.

I really wanted to be a doctor. I deeply regretted the time where I cannot do anything about my mother's condition.

"How about you, Jamila? Are you really sure about Nursing?" baling ng Don sa kanya.

"Opo.

I smiled inwardly at her answer. That's my main character!

Jamila's character is enthusiastic, and she always sees the good in everything. Her main priority is to help her family, and others as well.

I created her dream through my dream.

Since I was in junior high school, gusto ko na talaga makapasok doon, and I did. Full scholar but not my dream program.

Napasinghap ako nang may maalala ako. Shit! This is the cafeteria scene!

"May problema ba?" nag-aalalang tanong ni Jamila.

"Wala! Wala!" humagikgik ako at mas lalong na-excite papasok.

"Thank you, Kuya Niño!" sambit ko bago bumaba.

Brielle never do that kind of thing! She was always calm, quiet and as if every word that comes out from her mouth are rehearsed, memorized or practiced.

"S-Sige po, Ma'am Brielle . . ."

As soon as I went out from the SUV, all eyes were on me. This was supposed to be Jamila's scene because of what happened at the party but since I stole that moment from her, I'm the one experiencing this.

Wait ka lang, Jamila. Time to shine mo mamaya.
