reconnect (Clark Kent X Reader)

"Clark, are you sure you don't want to come with me," you asked holding his hand. 

"Yes, mom and dad need help around the farm," he said kissing you. 

You wrapped your arm around his neck and deepened the kiss. You heard Martha and Jonathan walk out of the house. Clark pulled away from the kiss and turned to his parents. 

"Bye darling," Martha said walking towards you to give you a hug. 

"Bye Martha," you hugged back.

"Be safe, its getting late," Jonathan called from the porch. 

"I will," you told him. 

You turned to Clark, he walked you to your car and opened your door.  He closed the door after you got in and leaned in through the window.

"I'm going to miss you," you said pressing your forehead against his. 

"I'll call," he replied kissing your nose.

"You better," you said giving him one last peck on the lip.

"I love you," he said stepping away rom the car. 

"I love you too," you replied starting the car. 

You waved goodbye as you drove off heading to college. It was kinda a far drive, you were driving on the interstate as it was getting dark. You were the only on the road for what it seemed like for miles. You were jamming to music and didn't notice a giant 18 wheeler coming fast behind you. He didn't change lanes or slow down. You closed your eyes knowing something was going to happen. The 18 wheeler hit the back of your car causing your car to spin and hit the side of the interstate. You opened your eyes and saw that you were about to fall into the lake below. you quickly grabbed your phone and called for help.

"Hey, you shouldn't be using your phone and drive," Clark joked.

"Clark," you replied with a shaky voice. 

"(y/n) whats wrong," he asked worried.

"I've been in an accident and I don't think i'll make it," you started crying. 

"Are you hurt," Clark asked.

"No but I'm about to fall into the lake. Clark I'm scared," you cried.

~Clark's POV~

"You're going to be okay. I promise," I told her.

"I don't want to die ," she cried. 

"you won't okay. I'm going to call for help. I have to go but I'll call you right back okay," I told her. 

"Okay, but hurry," you replied shakily. 

I hung up the phone and ran into the kitchen where my parent were. Mom saw my face and knew something was wrong. 

"She got in an accident and she needs help," I told them. 

"Go help her. I know how much you want to tell her," dad said. 

"I'll be back," I told them running outside and taking off into the sky. 

I was there in a couple of minutes. I heard her call my name as she started to fall. I flew down and caught her car. I gently placed it back on the abandoned interstate and walked to her side of the car. 

"Are you alright," I asked her. 

"What? How," she asked once she realized she wasn't in the lake. 

"I'll explain," I told her opening the door. 

~your POV~

you don't know how but you were alive, or you were in heaven. Clark opened the door and you carefully put one foot on the ground expecting it to disappear. when it didn't collapse underfoot, you quickly got out and hugged clark really tight.
