I now understand why Lu was so petrified. As I looked up, I saw two piercing white eyes, glaring at me from a dark pine tree. I stood motionless, brainless, speechless, in terror, for what felt like a lifetime before Lu's hostile growls awoke me from this trance and kickstarted me to follow my instincts.
run.
Frenetically screaming for my puppy , I sprinted in the other direction, my heart practically beating out my chest, as I bounded for my life. I couldn't be caught... I couldn't. My life ahead of me, my career just starting, my new apartment , I just graduated from university, my little puppy.... it couldn't be the end now. I quickly glance over my shoulder ; I regret that. Ivory eyes on me, it was exactly behind, giving a stare like predator to prey. It didn't utter a word, yet all that was circulating in my mind was, you're being hunted. This gave me an adrenaline boost. My blonde hair whipping me as I turned back round, tears escaped my sapphire eyes - I don't want to die. Expeditiously, the woodland became a blue blur as I rushed past, willing myself to make it out alive.
Then I tripped.
I stumbled to the floor as Lu fiercely bound back in my direction, rushing to my side as she frantically tugged on my hood to move on. But I couldn't. As I crumpled to the floor, I must have hit my head off a tree root, cause all I could feel was immense pain as a hot liquid I knew all to well seeped from my injury. My vision became smears of green and black as I began to lose consciousness.
Fuck. It's over.
