The key hidden in my innocent hands, I silently positioned it to the monster's height and clenched my teeth. I only had one chance at this.
And I took it.
Without a moments hesitation, I plunged the serrated object into the paled throat of the unexpecting man. As both pain and shock took an effect, Jett crippled over, crimson blood gushing out of his wound. Staining the night-sky floor with scarlet, I watched as the truth unraveled in Jett's mind.
I'd betrayed him.
Rushing in the opposite direction, I sped out of the vast room, but each bound felt like I was becoming further and further away. Or maybe...it was Jett becoming closer.
It was.
Screeching in a satanic voice, Jett screamed, "GUARDS" , as the agonised monster hauled on a gigantic rope. Almost instantly three colossal men, all in deathly black, appeared at the foot of another room. It didn't take long to process what was happening. Whilst one guard rushed to the man's aid, grabbing a first aid kit on his way, the two other beasts sped in my direction.
As blood bubbled from Jett's throat, he angrily mouthed, "X Nine", as the guards nodded and with open arms, attempted to seize me. But I was too nimble. Contorting my body, I escaped the clutch of the guards and summoned all my fury to burst open the door.
It wouldn't fucking bulge.
As adrenaline began pumping around my body, I slammed against the door with all my effort. Continuously, I furiously hurdled myself at the door, not caring about the pain I was now enduring when I heard a soft click.
It was open!!!!
Seeing a streak of light, I bounded towards it, starving for the chance to be liberated from this hell. However, then a white hand pulled be back into the gloom.
I was so fucking close!
Breathing in the potent scent of chemicals, the light began to disappear and my head began to spin rapidly. My eyes rolled around uncontrollably as I saw an needle be inserted into a crumpled body. Now upright, it came towards me, as red and white blurred together.
Then everything went black.
