And so it's the end of another part. Enjoy!
Gif of Merlin's relief (and mine and probably the fangirls/boys as well).
Summary: Rose and Merlin, now reunited, rush to stop the fight before it starts.

                 Meanwhile....
Out in the middle of nowhere, Regina and her troops appeared, heading towards Paradise. Regina rose on a black and purple dragon. Some of her people went on foot while others rode on dragons. Callista, unlike her mother, went on foot.

                 Meanwhile....
Gwaine and Lancelot were racing around the palace, looking everywhere for Rose then stopped inside one of the rooms to pace.
"I can't believe it! This is the worst thing that could ever happen to me while I'm sober! God, I need a drink!"
"Gwaine, you always need a drink!"
"Well I just can't believe we lost her again! This is the 8,000th time!" With that, Gwaine turned on Lancelot. "I though you were gonna watch her!"
"Me? You're blaming me?! I thought you were gonna watch her!"
They went back and forth in this way until they started attacking each other, rolling around on the ground and wrestling. Then they picked up their swords and started fighting.
At that moment, Nicholas walked into the room, to see them fighting. "What're you two doing?"
The two immediately stopped what they were doing. "Um...good question. Let me ask you one."
      "Hypothetically!" Lancelot added.
"Very hypothetical." Gwaine added. "There's this guy."
      "And he's not a king."
      "No no! Not a king! Definitely not a king! And.....uh....his daughter...um... say...vanished."
The king grew furious. "Rose is gone?!"
At that moment, a large dragon appeared at the door. She changed shape, reveling that she was Nyx. When Nyx reached the trio, she called out, "Sire, I'm afraid I have some very bad news."
Nicholas quickly turned to Gwaine and Lancelot. "We'll continue this later." He turned back to Nyx. "What's happened?"
"Well, I was flying around, checking on things and...the outsiders are on the attack, headed this way! There's gonna be a war!"
Nicholas growled angrily. "Nyx! Go find Rose! Gwaine, Lance, I want the two of you to prepare the troops for battle. Everyone, move! Now!"
Nyx changed back into her dragon form and flew as fast as the wind would carry her. Gwaine and Lancelot took one look at each other and muttered, "We're doomed."
They rushed to get the troops prepared for battle. All over Paradise, men and women alike were racing about, grabbing weapons, doing last minute checks of their powers, dressing in battle armor, and getting grouped. The wolves and hunting dogs were let out. So it began.
The two armies met at the border. Nicholas was dressed in fine armor and a black cape whereas his wife, like most other women, wore a dress with armor. Regina also wore a dress- a black one- with armor. Those of Paradise had rode by horses and wolves, whereas the Outsiders rode in on dragons or walked.
Nicholas and Regina met at the middle of the battlefield, the former with a wolf beside him and Anastasia and Nyx behind him on either side, the latter with a dragon beside her and her daughter and another warrior behind.
"It's over, Nicholas! I have dreamed of nothing else...for years!"
Gwaine, standing somewhat behind the queen, stated in smart alack attitude, "Boy does she need a hobby!"
     "Last chance, Regina! Go home!"
     "I am home. Attack!"
At once, the battlefield erupted in sounds of battle: swords clanged, archers shot arrows from dragons, some people attacked from atop a horse or a wolf, magic was thrown around, wolves attacked Outsiders, dragons attacked the army of Paradise, and screams and battle cries could be heard for miles.

                    Meanwhile.....
Nyx flew as fast as her wings and the wind could carry her until she found Rose and Merlin running through the woods. Quickly, she dove and landed in front of them, shifting to her human form to run and hug Rose with relief.
"Rose, thank God you're alright! Your father's been going crazy looking for you!"
"I'm sorry, Nyx, but I just needed him to understand that I love Merlin and he loves me."
Nyx looked at Merlin then ran forward and hugged him too. "We must hurry and get the two of you back to Paradise!"
Rose nodded in agreement. "I have to tell my father something important before he makes a terrible mistake."
"Then we must hurry for the Outsiders have invaded Paradise!"
"What?!" Rose and Merlin called in unison.
"Your father has already prepared the troops for war!"
     "Then let's go!"
Nyx shifted into dragon form and Rose and Merlin climbed onto her back just before she flew off back to Paradise. They could hear the battle before they saw it. Quickly they rushed to stop it.
Regina had moved in on Nicholas but just as they were about to fight, Rose and Merlin leapt from Nyx's back and landed in front of their parents.
     "Rose?"
     "Merlin! Move!"
     "Stand aside."
     "Daddy this has to stop!"
"I should've known! You're even weaker than I thought! Get outta the way!"
"Love isn't weakness, mother, it's strength! And I'll never let you hurt Rose or Nicholas so long as I live!"
     "Stay outta this!"
"Y'know...a wise king once told me, we are one. I didn't understand what that meant at the time but now I do. Father, we are no different and no better than the Outsiders. Yes, Karayan betrayed you. Yes, Regina betrayed you. But that doesn't mean they should all be punished just for who their parents are. Think about it. Merlin was only trying to protect me. Is it his fault that his parents hurt you? The Outsiders...they are us. Can't you see it?"
Nicholas looked around the battlefield and saw everyone through her eyes. His troops, Regina's, he couldn't tell them apart. They were all just people, fighting for their lives. Then he looked at Merlin and saw the way the boy looked at his daughter, with such love, just how he always looked at Anastasia. His mind was then made up.
"Everyone, stop the battle! My daughter is wiser than I am for she sees beyond the hatred and fear. She sees the truth that we are no different from one another. And I just want to make my apologies to each and every one of you. I am sorry that I banished all of you from my presence. I was hurt and let my hatred of what my uncle had done blind me. I want to apologise to my family, mostly to my daughter for bringing her into all of this. Rose, I love you and you deserve much more than I ever give you. I should've trusted you from the beginning. Most of all, I want to apologise to Merlin. I was wrong. You are one of us. And I want you to be with my daughter. I can see that you truly love one another."
Merlin and Rose ran into each other's arms. Everyone else was frozen, touched by the king's words. Only one refused to let it go: Regina.
"Don't be taken by his pretty words! The king means none of what he preaches! Callista! Get them!"
Callista took a look at her mother and said, "No, mother!"
     "You dare defy your mother?!"
"Yes I dare! This isn't about justice anymore; it's about vengeance! I love my brother! And I am proud that Merlin is my brother but to you he will always be a failure, not your son! After everything you put us through, we deserve a fresh start and a chance to prove ourselves! And besides, Rose is right!" She walked over to Rose's side. "Enough!"
"Fine! Then you shall die as well!" With Regina's hateful words, her followers turned on her and walked over to Nicholas' side. Some aided the Paradise army while others simply stood firm, leaving Regina by herself but still she would not let it go. She raced at them, intending to attack Nicholas, but he was saved at the last minute, and Regina fell into the river, drowning instantly.
"That the second parent I've lost to vengeance." Merlin said, sadly. "We must never again let anger get the best of us."
With that, Nicholas declared everyone return home to Paradise, including the Outsiders who were not outsiders anymore.
That evening, a great party was thrown and Rose and Merlin were able to officially be courting each other.

It was a year later that Rose and Merlin were married and gave birth to twins- a boy named Mordred and a girl named Lacey. And like you might expect, they all lived happily ever after.

Finally! It took me forever to finish that one!!
