Welp time to get back to this.
Picture is pretty fitting.
Summary: Information on the kingdoms and a bit about the feud. A few people get in a fight which leads to a proclamation.

Auradon was a beautiful place that housed many kingdoms, two of which were Paradise and Powys, the feuding kingdoms. Each kingdom had it's own king and/or queen who ruled it and above all was the Empress. That is what they called the woman who ruled over all of Auradon and oversaw all the other kingdoms in it.
Paradise and Powys were similar in that they both were made up of people that practiced magic on a daily basis but that's where their similarities ended.
Paradise was a beautiful meadow of a place, surrounded on all sides by woods and lakes. It bore a blue flag and it's symbol was a wolf for the people of Paradise lived among wolves and lycans. The royal family were alphas who had control over wolves and lycans alike.
The entire kingdom of Paradise was ruled by the Swan family. Nicholas Swan was the king; his strength and courage was what made him famous. His wife had been dead for many years, so he only had his daughter, Princess Rose, whom he was very protective of.
Rose was a beautiful young woman, even more so than her mother, and men of all stations and kingdoms wished to win her over. One of these was her childhood friend, Adrian, who was a noble in Paradise, along with his brother, Karayan, who also wished her for his bride.
Yet, Rose fell for none of the men who threw themselves at her. She wanted something more.

     Powys was much different.
Nestled in between mountains, the area was more hilly than a meadow would be. It bore the red flag with a dragon symbol for the kingdom of Powys was full of dragons. The royal family had power over these dragons.
The entire kingdom of Powys was ruled by the Emrys family. Regina Emrys was queen; she was known for her beauty, intelligence, and most importantly, her sass which she seemed to have passed down to her sons.
Her husband had been gone for a long time but she found comfort in her two sons, Merlin, who gained her ability to control dragons, and Mordred, who inherited her defiant personality.
Merlin and Mordred were similar in appearances, the only differences being mostly in their build. Merlin was the one women preferred, however, mainly because of his power and dragonlord abilities.
Like Rose, however, he wanted something more.

It is fairly obvious then that the two should fall in love with one another but as for how that happened, we must visit the day that the Empress of Auradon made her proclamation because it was from this, that should Merlin not have wished vengeance to save his friend, that he never would've gone to a certain party where he met the woman that he would fall in love with and had that not happened this story would never have happened....

It was a normal day in Auradon. Merlin and Mordred were training their guards when, suddenly, their friend, Daegal, came running up to them with a deeply troubled expression on his face.
"Milords, there is a fight broken out in the middle of the town square!"
Merlin and Mordred raced after Daegal to see what was going on. Just as he said, a fight had broken out and right in the center was  their friends, Gwaine and Lancelot, fighting the two worst people in all of Paradise, Karayan and Adrian.
"What is the meaning of this?!" Merlin asked.
"Don't worry yourself." Karayan said coldly. "Go back to growling at those oversized lizards you call your pets."
"How dare you! This is my kingdom!!"
With that, Merlin launched himself at the rude noble and his brother joined in. The group fought with swords and magic until a voice suddenly called out, "Enough!"
"What is the meaning of this?!"
All looked the way of the Empress as she suddenly appeared before the group. "This fighting between the houses of Paradise and Powys must stop! Therefore, I make a decree: from now on, any fighting will result in the people involved being banished from Auradon...forever. This I swear."
And with that, the Empress of Auradon vanished.
And so began the series of events that would change everything.
