Chapter 6

3:35 P.M.

Ahiru's P.O.V.

Everything spinned, my legs locked in place, and my arms trembled.

I felt alone. I felt hot tears forming in my eyes. I felt the urge again... to run away.

I wanted to run, and I was about to until, "Ahiru." My heart thumped in my throat.

Carefully, I tried to make my bangs cover some of my eyes. That failed.

He saw them, and I was scared. Scared, that he would make fun of me. His face didn't move from his blank look.

I looked down in fear, my fear got worse when he sighed. I was about to cry.

Until, a hand pat my head, not touching my weird cowlick. A big hand, bigger than mine, the one who helped me, a hand so warm. Ruffled my neatly done hair by Rue, Fakir's hand.

Fakir stepped in front of my view of the audience, his back facing the audience, "Please give us a moment, Mr. Cat." I didn't get to see Mr. Cat's response.

Only to see that Fakir's right leg step forward toward me, instinctively, I stepped back with my left leg. He did that with his left leg too, and I did it again. At that point, I was confused.

"Sorry," he whispered, I looked up at his face, "Sorry... For giving you pressure..." His mouth frowned sadly, his forest green eyes darken. I couldn't help but smile, forgetting the audience.

I also couldn't help giggling, "You look like a puppy." Also couldn't help saying that out loud, just enough for him to hear.

'Whoops.'

Fakir ear's brighten up, his cheeks burned red, he pouted for a quick second then it was gone. Replaced with his poker face.

"So--!!" He grabbed my wrist, when I waved my arms in hurry to apologize.

He spun me around to face the audience, this time he was behind me.

Immediately, I looked through the crowd. Looking for nothing until I saw Rue and Mytho. It gave me comfort that they gave me funny faces, and thumbs up. I couldn't help but smile happily.

I felt Fakir put my hand in position, his left hand under my left hand, our palms facing up. Our arms outstretched upward.

I put my right hand on my right side of the abdomen, and closed my eyes. Calming myself.

I still felt the fear biting me. But Fakir did little gestures I saw, secretly.

He cupped my hands caringly, like I might break. His body was close enough for comfort, it made me feel safe. The little gestures he did, made me feel tingly sensations.

Fakir's heart felt pure, rough, yet sweet if you see it through. A smile smoothed on my lips.

The music played.

Fakir lead faintly, slowly letting me get use to his touch. He followed me, making my cheeks feel warm and bubbly.

The music felt like a couples' dance. I felt like we were playing.

We hopped, making me feel light. He spinned me lightly, caring for me. Bounced on our feet, as if we were flirting.

I blush at the thought as we danced, I simply blinked it away.

But I held on to that blushing feeling. It felt... nice.

I hopped away from Fakir, dancing the small solo part. He danced closer toward me, pointing his foot out first, then spinned closer to me. Elegantly, he slid his right hand from his stomach, out to me.
