Q: What made you to write a story about sirens?

Basically, I have a love for mermaids. Ever since the age of five when I learned to swim, I always envisioned myself as a mermaid, and then I saw Pirates of the Caribbean Stranger Tides. I was intrigued by the creatures, sirens! The way they were portrayed piqued my interest most definitely, but what made me want to write about sirens the most was my love for pirates. Since the time I started reading on Wattpad and came across A Pirate Kiss, I told myself one day I would create my own pirate story.

Writing about sirens gave me the opportunity to explore my own fantasy world, with pirates and mythical creatures. Who wouldn't like to live a day being a pirate or a siren?

I have to say mermaids and pirates are my hidden love!! They are awesome and so much fun to write!

Q: Echo has perfect inter thoughts, how did you come up with the expressions, that are so right for merpeople?

I wish I had a certain answer for that!

I honestly don't know what I do when I come up with the merpeople phrases she uses. Guppy and fingerling are two phrases that mean baby fish, so it's simple to referring to their young as such. I think my final answer for this would be - I just channel my Ariel mermaid side. Everyone has that Disney princess side to them! I think as an author, it helps having those different characters to relate to when writing.

That makes complete sense, it's good you don't just throw random words in and hope they work :P But I have to agree there. I love a good Disney Princess!

Q: Orion is part of an array of Mythology, will we be seeing anymore mythological creators?

Yes! The plot actually started with a more mythological aspect when I first brainstormed the idea. I'm planning to bring in more Greek figures and altering my own history for them, the further the story progresses. I'm hoping the surprise I have planned, will be pretty original in the eyes of the readers!

OMG that sounds amazing!! I can't wait! I love mythology there is so much cool stuff out there. It's also great because you can put your own twist on their stories.

Q: I love your flashbacks, we will be finding out more about our main characters and their past?

Most definitely! The flashbacks are as well, my favorite. You actually got me thinking now that some history shown for Orion and Adonis could help give more depth into the gods/pirates of the story. Echo can't hog all the flashback moments! ;D

Yes, I want a flashback from Adonis! I want to know so much more about his character!! Please do that, it would be amazing. Echo may hog them but they are so good.

Q: Pirates are awesome, shall we be seeing some more of them and other legends that roam the sea?

Hmm. Perhaps. I haven't thought much further than the sirens honestly, but I think if I did some more reading through history and legends, there might possibly be a few species I could bring into this! I already have Averions, which were created from the idea of Orion losing his constellation due to his exile. He discovered the winged creatures with elemental powers and named them after his lovers arrow. I can't take credit for the idea of Averions, nor much of their history as my friend TibbyKay98 created the species. But now that you have me brainstorming, I might come up with something to add to the sirens and pirates! Maybe that's just the right kick I need to get inspiration.

That is cool, there are so many that it may be nice to drop in the occasional myth, that might be fun. Yeah I liked the Averions they sounded interesting. I hope we meet some of them in the future.

Q: What is your favourite thing to write about in His Siren Girl?

The tension between Echo and Orion. There's just something about their relationship that excites me, and I'm not sure if it's the prospect of the future or their connection with each other. How they act when in each other's presence makes me want to do my own fangirl squealing. Is that ridiculous? There's just something about when writing their scenes together, that eggs me on, like there's a fire building each time. Which doesn't make sense at the moment, since there's nothing overly romantic between them just yet but there's that obvious tension that there will be. The two of them are still building up to that sense of stirring attraction. An exiled god whose lived the life of a pirate for decades, and the young siren girl with hidden secrets. They're both a puzzle that's being figured out, yet pieced together at once!

LOVE IT!! You are kidding right? The sexual tension between, those two burns through the pages as I read - honestly it's so well written. Can't wait to find out what happens to them. I want to dive into your brain and find out :P

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.
