I knock on the door before opening it. Ky never locks his door. He's sitting on his awful green couch, playing videogames with his Bluetooth headset on.

-Jo, on your right...No the other right...God you suck... Yea you do...Suck my dick yea.

I drop next to him, grabbing the headset from his head and putting it on mine.

-Hey Jo!

-Is that you Samuel? Tell blondie he can suck my dick!

-He says he loves you, I say to Ky.

-Fucker, Ky screams in the micro.

I grab the remote from his hands and kill three people in the next 4 seconds.

-You finally decided to play like a big boy, blondie.

-I'm playing now, I say.

-That's why he sucks less. KY, YOU SUCK!

I blow his character's head off.

-Hey! Why did you do that?

-I wanted to shut you up.

Ky gets up and stands in front of the TV.

-Move, I say.

-Are we going out tonight?

-Where?

-I don't know. The Carpenter?

-No that place sucks.

-What place? Ask Jo in my ear.

-Let's go to blitz, I say.

-Oh yea! Blitz is fun! I can kill your butt at risk. What time?

-What time? I ask Ky.

-We leave in 10.

-We leave in 10, I repeat for Jo.

-Ok, see you in 20.

-Don't be late, I tell him.

I close the game and throw the headset on the couch.

I look at his ugly couch for a second. It's an old thing he found in a vintage store, lizard green with scratches all over the fake leather. It's small and hard as rock and it smells like wet dog.

-I hate you couch, I tell Ky.

-I know, you tell me every day.

-I think it's important you know how much I hate it.

He throws a pillow at my face and leaves for his bedroom. I follow him and drop on his bed. I pick up his phone and scroll through his selfies while he changes.
