Alternate Epilogue; "We should talk about our summer incident."

I was nervous as I knocked on the pastel blue house's door. It was late at night, the moon was out and I was afraid that everyone in the household would be sound asleep. Though I couldn't see it well, the moonlight reflected off the bloomed flowers, it also gave the green grass a sort of glow.

A wind picked up and I was starting to think everyone was sleep. I sighed, ready to turn my back when the door opened. "Quinn?" Obviously he knew who I was, maybe he was just shocked. "Andre-" I breathed out, he pulled me into a hug.

It was unexpected but, I wrapped my arms around his more toned and muscular arms. He looked different, almost older. He had gotten taller, more tan and let his hair grow out (including his facial hair).

"I'm sorry." I bit my lip and he laughed, allowing me to enter his house. "For what?" His deep voice asked, he was walking to the kitchen-I followed. "Uh..I don't know." I lied, I knew what I was sorry for, I was just nervous for some unknown reason. Maybe it was because, Andre seemed like a different person.

Andre glanced at me, a sweet smile on his face with a raised eyebrow. "You have no clue why you're apologizing?" I looked at my feet, thinking. "Over the past months I've been difficult-" he scoffed. "You've been impossible." I rolled my eyes continuing. "I just want us to be on good terms before college." Andre nodded his head understandingly.

The kitchen was warm and smelled like baked goods, his mom's doing. She was a great baker and cook, my eyes stared at the piece of cake on the counter. "Quinn, what are you-" Andre followed my eyes to the cake. He chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief. "Do you want it?" I nodded, grinning. It was a piece of chocolate cake, who would want to miss that opportunity?

After putting the piece of cake in front of a seat, I sat down. "We should talk." I said with cake in my mouth, I probably looked so unattractive. "About us?" Andre sat across from me at the kitchen table. "Yeah, our summer incident." I reminded, Andre exhaled, not saying a word.

"Or not." I said quickly, after eating another piece of cake. "No, we should but, not now." This was very unusual for me, to hear Andre speak without humor or being flirtatious. What was up with him? "I'd like if we hung out more, I missed you believe it or not." I smiled, Andre grinned like I had said the best words in the world.

"Remind me to thank you and your therapist." I rolled my eyes but, smiled and said. "Noted." I tapped the side of my head for emphasis. After a moment of happy silence, Andre grabbed my hand. "Stay the night?" A blush crept on my face. We had never stayed the night with each other, was that to much? Though Cooper stayed the night over my house a few times, mom wasn't there to protest. But, she made me promise to ask her before inviting a boy over ever again. Technically a boy was inviting me over.

"Andre-" he groaned, leaning his head back, looking at the ceiling. "Please, Quinn. It's not like we're going to do something..unless you want to." He mumbled the last part, I held my mouth open widely, blushing intently. There was the Andre I had knew from high school.

"You did not just say that." I was bewildered, eyes still wide. "Don't act so innocent, I know you want a piece of my sexy body." He gestured to his chest. I shook my head wildly, "no I don't!" He scoffed playfully, "if you say so." I giggled.

"Seriously Quinn, stay the night." He said, his voice was husky. I bit my lip, it was becoming a bad habit of mine. "Your parents-" he put my plate in the sink after I was done, then said. "Mom's going to the bakery early and dad has to couch youth football." I looked towards the door.

"Alright." I hesitated, he grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the chair. "What's the worse that could happen? He asked, a smirk on his face. "I kill you before we make it to your bedroom." I mumbled, he only laughed in response.
