I'm trying too hard not to fanboy here. Anyway, enjoy this chapter.

The van brought Ash to a small house, and it looked like it was abandoned. There were some muscular men lifted Ash, already tied up, into that house and threw him on the ground. Ash started waking up from the throw, and before he knew it, he felt a foot pinned him to the ground, from the mysterious man

"Hey... What have I done to you...?" Ash said between coughing due to lack of oxygen. The man then slowly took off his mask.

"Surprise, Ash?" He asked

"Alain? Alain Blaze? Lysandre's son?" Ash asked back

"Yes, Ash. And I'm back! For revenge!" Alain said and kicked Ash in the stomach, making him cover it in pain

"What... I haven't done anything wrong to you! I even haven't seen you for a year! What happened?" Ash asked, but received another kick from Alain

"You still don't understand?! You MADE me like this! All I want was the respect from my dad, and you stole it away!" - Alain said - "But you're fired, that means I can earn it again! This is my chance, Ash, and I'm not gonna let you steal it away like before!" Then he left the room, leaving Ash and the guards inside.

Meanwhile, back to Gary and Serena, he just finished charging up Serena. She opened her eyes and looked around. She started to panic

"Ash, ASH! Where are you?!" Serena panicked, but Gary held her back

"Serena, calm down! He just went to sign some kind of contract or just having a little talk, that's all." Gary tried to comfort Serena, but he couldn't have the soft tone Ash had, and that made Serena even more worried

'That boy named Gary maybe right, but Ash could be in trouble. What if things didn't happen like he said?' She mumbled her thought, and Gary could hear it

"Look, Serena. I told you. Everything will be alright" Gary held her shoulder. She looked up to him and smiled as a thanks. When Gary saw it, he just blushed

"Wow, Ash is so lucky, I can tell you that" Gary said

"What do you mean by that?" Serena asked

"Well, he has a gorgeous girl by his side, and I can say he is quite a keeper" Gary said and Serena let out a steam on her head, as a sign of embarrassment

"Uh... what do you mean "keeper"? I don't understand" Serena asked, then Gary whispered in her ears about its definition, and this made her let out more steam

"Do you robots usually do that when you're angry or embarrassed?" Gary asked but she didn't answer. She just sat there and thought about different things. Suddenly, a man walked to them. He had lemon blond hair and wore glasses.

"You are Ash's assistant, right? Can you tell me where he is?" He asked

"No, I'm just his temporary assistant. You mean Ash Ketchum? He's doing something. I think he will be back soon" Gary said

"Oh, cool. When he's back, make sure to give him this" The man handed something like a card to Gary. He read it and widen his eyes

"You're Clemont Citronic, the owner of Citron Electrical?!" Gary asked in surprise

"The future is now thanks to science" Clemont said his slogun

"Nice to see you, Mr. Citronic. I'm Gary Oak. I'm your big fan." Gary shook Clemont's hand

"Okay, nice to meet you, Gary. Just remember to do what I said" Clemont said and turned to Serena before he left

"And you, I can't wait to work with you at my company" Clemont said and left, leaving both Serena and Gary confused

Back to Ash, who was sitting on a chair in the abandoned house. Alain opened the room's door and walked to him

"Ash, it's time to get working!" Alain ordered

"I have... to do... what?" Ash managed to ask

"You have to tell me everything about the Emotion Chip, so I can show my invention to my dad!" Alain said

"Or else? You have something for me?" Ash asked again, and Alain snapped his fingers. Some of the guards started kicking Ash in the stomach and even gave him some leg sweeps, making him lie on the ground in pain

"Look, your life is put on the line. Dead or alive, it's up to you" Alain said coldly and left the room, leaving Ash inside

Meanwhile, back to Gary and Serena, they were still worried about Ash.

"It's afternoon now, and he hasn't returned..." Gary looked at his watch with a worried face, while Serena just prayed for Ash didn't meet anything wrong. Gary then found a security and asked

"Did you see Ash Ketchum go pass here?"

"U-Uh, n-no. I haven't s-seen h-him" The security panicked, and Gary knew it. He grabbed his collar and lifted him up

"Listen up, pal! My best friend might be in danger, and I demand to know if anything happened to him!" Gary said to him, but the security managed to call some back up. More securities surrounded him, but they had to back off

"All of you better step back, or hospital will be where you spend the rest of your life!" Gary threatened them, then turned to the security. "So, you want to tell it in peace or in pain?"

"Okay, okay! Ash Ketchum... is kidnapped! I was about to stop them, but they would hurt me if I do! They went that way!" - The security pointed at the way the van went - "Now can you please let me go?!" He begged, and Gary released him to the ground.

"Thank you for your cooperation!" Gary said and ran to Serena

"What happened, Gary? I heard a man talking about Ash in tears." Serena asked, but Gary grabbed his car's key and dragged Serena to the parking lot

"H-Hey Gary! What's wrong?" She asked

"Ash is kidnapped! There's no time to explain! Let's go save him!" Gary shouted and almost threw Serena in the car, then he started the engine and drove along the way the van went. Serena didn't feel any pain. She just sat there and thought about Ash, looked like she started to shed a tear

'Ash... is kidnapped? But what is "kidnap" anyway?'
