CHAPTER 1.3 - Introductions

Gale's POV

It was lunch break and I decided to invite Kisses to come with us. It would be rude if I didn't invite her and besides, I want to know her more. Crystal went with us, too. So we went to the canteen which is five floors below, good thing this school has an elevator, chuchal. We occupied an empty table and Crystal volunteered to order for us.

"Ate By, ako na po ang mag-order," she insisted.

"Sure ka? Samahan ka na namin," I said.

"Hindi na, ako na. Ano ba gusto niyo? Ikaw, Ate By?" she asked.

"Burger steak lang. Samahan mo narin ng softdrinks," I handed her money.

"Ikaw, Kisses?" she asked.

"Ikaw na po bahala," she replied shyly. She handed her lunch money.

Crystal left to order our lunch. It was really nice of her to get our meals. She's a really sweet and kind person, kaya best friend ko yun eh. I shifted my attention to Kisses.

"Kisses, kwentuhan mo naman ako tungkol sayo," I said. Would she open up to me? Well, it's still a mystery for me why she transferred midyear.

"U-umm..." she was holding back. Maybe she's not comfortable with opening up yet.

"Okay lang kung ayaw mo." I forced a smile. I will understand naman eh.

"Only child ako pero dapat marami kaming magkakapatid. Unfortunately, ako lang ang nabuhay. Kaya sobrang protective sakin ng parents ko kasi ako ang miracle daughter nila, siguro may reason kung bakit nangyari yun," she openly said. Sadness is seen on her eyes. I don't know if I should ask more. Ang interesting kasi ng buhay niya ngayon palang mula sa nalaman ko. Kung ganun nga siya kamahal ng parents niya, siguro may magandang reason kung bakit siya lumipat ng school. I really wanted to know her more.

"Sorry kung makulit ako, ha. Pero bakit ka lumipat sa kalagitnaan ng taon?" my curiosity took over.

Kirsten's POV

That question hit me.

[FLASHBACK]
"Ano bang problema niyo? Bakit niyo to ginagawa sakin?!" I cried. They started to get my things, and messed it up on the corridor floor. I tried to gather it while wiping my tears that are dropping endlessly. As soon as I stood up, my face was struck by a slap.

"Tumigil ka na sa kahibangan mo kung ayaw mo masaktan." She said. I ran away as fast as I could. Tears are now trailing the path I took.
[END OF FLASHBACK]

I got misty eyes and I know Gale can see it.

"Okay ka lang, Kisses?" she was now concerned.

"Na--nabully kasi ako sa dating school ko. Umabot sa point na pisikal na sinasaktan na nila ako." I said softly while looking down. It was silent for a moment. I think Gale was now careful of what to ask me, I know she felt my sadness.

"Uy, sorry. Kailangan mo pang maalala yun," she apologized. She's so cute when apologising.

"Hi-hindi, okay lang," I chuckled.

"Nako, kung nandun lang ako," she's now showing funny facial expressions, "bugbog sarado sakin yung mga 'yon. Ano, resbakan na natin?" she held her fists in the air like she wants to fight. Sa payat niya feel ko mababali arm niya. I laughed at her statement.

"Baka mabali ka ah," I laughed louder.

"Hala, nabuang na." she pouted.

"May boyfriend ka na po ba?" I now asked since I want to change the topic. I don't like the idea of remembering my experiences.

"Sa ganda kong to, malamang..." someone interrupted her statement.

"Malamang wala," he laughed hard.

"Ay grabe, bai" Gale pouted.

If I remember correctly, his name is Marcus. He's quite a sight. Right next to him is Chloe, I think.

"Marcus, Chloe, ito nga pala si Kisses," Gale introduced me.

"Nice to meet you." Chloe said.

"Oh, the new girl. My pleasure meeting you," he offered a handshake and I took it. It felt weird, "Pwede ba kami tumabi sainyo?" he asked.

"Oh, sure" Gale said. They occupied the seat opposite of us.

"Kisses, may ibubulgar kami sa iyo" Chloe said. I was curious about what they are gonna reveal.

"Habang maaga pa dapat malaman mo na si Ate By ay..." he paused for a moment, "lesbian." I gasped as in yung malakas na gasp. I covered my mouth with my hands. Kaya siguro lagi akong sinusundan palagi ni Gale, totoo nga kayang lesbian siya? Baka ako pa trip nito. Hala, ano tong napasok ko. Ano na gagawin ko? Ayaw ko naman siyang masaktan if ever na gusto nga niya ko. Alam ko naman sa sarili ko na babae ako at hindi magiging tibo. Ano gagawin ko?

Sa sobrang kakaisip ko hindi ko napansin na nagtatawanan na sila. Yung tawang papigil pero nung napansin na nila ako yun nagsitawanan na nang malakas, "HAHAHAHAHA buang ka Kisses. Naniniwila ka diyan kay Marcus, eh sira ulo yan," Gale said. They are still laughing. I pouted like a child na nagtatampo.

"Ang cute, haha," Marcus said while recovering from laughing. He pinched by cheeks. Why did he do that? I was about to blush but I managed not to.

Crystal came with our lunch. "Hala, nawala lang ako mukhang ang saya saya niyo na. Ano nangyari?" she asked and sat down beside Gale.

"Ito kasing si Kisses naniwalang tibo ako," Gale said. Crystal laughed a little.

"Ikaw, tibo? Habulin ka nga eh," Crystal stated.

"Well." Gale flipped her hair.

We ate our lunch. Marcus and Chloe had to leave early since they have their own practices. Crystal, on the other hand, decided to go to the library after lunch.

After lunch, Gale and I decided to go to our room. We passed by the soccer field and we saw Marcus, Edward, and other few practicing.

"Hi, Kisses!" Marcus shouted and waved at me. I waved back

"Ayiee, ikaw Kisses ah." Gale teased me.

"Hala, wala 'yon." I defended. I glanced back and I met eyes with Edward. His face was blank and emotionless but I was sure he was looking at me.

"Yun si Edward, masaya din ba siya kasama tulad nila Marcus?" I asked.

"Hindi ko sure kasi hindi kami masyadong naguusap. Palaging busy yan kaya hindi kasama nila Marcus pag sumasama samin. Ang alam ko lang maraming kakandarapa sa dalawang yan." Gale said. I looked at them again and saw Marcus talking to the audience, more like his fans. He's so sweet. He is fun to be with. Edward, on the other hand, is like the mysterious type. He didn't notice the girls cheering for them unlike Marcus. Before they were out of sight, I saw him glance at our way. Weird.
