CHAPTER 1.4 - Introductions

Weeks have passed. I've been more comfortable with Gale and the others. They're fun to be with, actually. You wouldn't ask for more.

I'm in the library today. It may sound weird but I like the idea of schoolworks and good thing a lot of those came. Unlike most students, I like making projects, essays, reports, and the like. I also like reading books, searching, and other educational activities. What they do not know is that I'm top of our class in my past school.

I chose a spot in the library where there are least people. It was on the backmost part of the room, it's my favorite spot. I sat on the end of table because on the other end was Edward. He was also reading a book, well Gale did tell me he was top of the class, we'll see about that. He was actually focused reading his book. As of what I've observed about him, he has a small range of friends. As if, he doesn't want a lot of people to be near him or to be related to him. He's very different from Marcus, a friendly, caring, cute - wait what am I thinking? Anyways, it is why I wonder why the two of them is so close. They could be mistaken as a couple if they're not straight, haha.

He was drowned in reading until he stood up and started walking towards my direction. It startled me, I mean why would he go to me?

"My glasses!" I panicked as my glasses dropped on the floor, clumsy me. Everything around me was now a blur. I was searching for my glasses when someone held my shoulders and put my glasses on me.

"Thank you," I said as my vision started to get clear again. No, it wasn't Edward. This one is cute and almost the same height as me, only he's a bit taller. He gave me this friendly smile.

"Hi, Kisses," he said. He knows me, how?

"Paano mo ako nakilala?" I asked. Hala ka baka stalker ko to. Ganda ko talaga.

"Baka kasi kaklase kita," he chuckled. Nakakahiya, hindi ko siya kilala. Ang mga naging kaibigan ko palang kasi ay sila Ate By, Crystal, Marcus at Chloe eh. Hindi pa ko masyadong nakikipagkaibigan.

"Sorry, hindi pa ako familiar sa mga tao eh," I gave him a smile, "Ano nga pala name mo?" I asked.

"Grey Montealegre. Ang pinakagwapo mong classmate," he confidently boasted. Hindi rin pala mayabang to eh no?

"Ang hangin ata ngayon," I laughed, actually we both laughed.

"Kisses!" Ate By shouted. Because of that, people inside the library started saying their shhhh's. Alam naman kasing library to sumigaw ang gaga hahaha.

"Ay sorry po," she said in a soft voice. Nakapeace sign pa ang gaga nagpapacute pa talaga. She approached us, "Oh kasama mo pala si Grey! Baka naman umii-score ka dito sa kaibigan ko Grey, ah." she teased.

"Grabe, Ate By, hindi ba pwedeng friends muna?" he replied.

"Pwede ka naman eh. Mabait, maalaga, loyal, kaso may iba atang napupusuan tong si Kisses" she keeps on talking. I tried to cut her off, "Huy, Ate By, ano ba" I said but she kept on talking.

"Kilala mo naman yun si--" I covered her mouth. Ang kulit talaga.

"Sorry ah, madaldal to eh. Wag mo nalang pansinin" I smiled at him. He just laughed.

"Ganyan talaga yan parang buang," he said referring to Gale.

"Grabe kayo sa akin ah!" she said in a loud voice.

"SHHHH!"
"Ay sorry po," she apologized. Nakakahiya ang ingay kasi eh hahaha.

"May kailangan pa pala akong kunin, una na ako ah?" Grey asked permission. I nodded, "See you later." I waved as he left.

"Ate By, tara na?" She nodded. I texted her a while ago para magsabay kami. Paspecial na ako, oo. We started walking our way to the classroom.

"Lakas mo na rin maka-ate eh noh?" she complained, "Nahawa ka na kina Marcus."

"Respeto lang sa nakakatanda," I laughed in a teasing manner. It's true, she's like a year or two older than us.

When we were near the room, I accidentally bumped into Edward. Hindi ko nakita kasi nakikipagusap ako kay Ate By. My books dropped on the floor. Ate By started picking up my books, I helped her. I looked up to Edward.

"Thank you ah!" I said sarcastically. He was just standing there, such a gentleman!

"What's the use of your glasses if you don't use it?" he teased with a smirk. Ugh, that annoyed me.

"I hate you!" I said but he just turned his back and left. That does it. As soon as I finished picking up my books, I let Gale hold it first and immediately ran to Edward. I held his shoulder and made him turn to face me.

"What?" he frowned. He's too intimidating. I just stood there trying to study his face, I mean emotion, I failed. He removed my hand from his shoulder and turned his back again.

"Huy, Kisses, wag na." Ate By said. I just followed her ignoring Edward in our way. I hit him lightly as if I was mad. When we sat in our seats, I glanced at Edward and he gave me a smirk. Annoying.

"Ano 'di mo na siya crush?" Ate By said.

"Di na," I said straight. I'll admit, I was attracted to him because he was mysterious and charming at the same time. He is handsome. He caught my attention first with that charming smile of his but his attitude is a major turn off.

"Sabi sayo mas bagay kayo ni Marcus eh," she teased again. Come to think of it, Marcus frequently runs in my mind. He's better than Edward. He's showing sweetness to me and it makes me feel weird.

"Bahala ka diyan 'Te By," I pouted pretending to be tampo. Pabebe ang peg hahaha.

"Sus, deny ka pa diyan kahit namumula pisngi mo," she said. Am I actually blushing? Gosh, nakakahiya.

"Make-up to ano ka ba," I made an excuse. Baka lalo pa kong asarin nito, nakakahiya.

"Sabi mo eh," she said with a small laugh.

I glanced at Marcus. He was talking with his devil friend, Edward. Wait, why is he looking at me? He gave me a devil smirk again. Ugh, screw him.
