-Chapter 5-
When Jimin woke up Jihyun was still there sleeping beside him. Jimin smiled to himself, recalling how they'd always slept next to each other when they were younger. But it had been a while since they'd last done it. He waited a couple minutes before he tried to gently awaken his brother. Jimin could feel the younger stir a little and knew he was awake but Jihyun continued to pretend to be asleep. And so with a small smile Jimin got out of bed and went to Jihyun's feet and began tickling him there.
"Ah stop! I'm awake!" Jihyun laughed as he kicked at Jimin's hands. Jimin laughed too as he let go of his brother's feet and told the younger to go get ready for school as he proceeded to do the same.
Jimin was ready to go by seven fifteen as usual. He walked downstairs and ate the toast and eggs his mother had prepared for breakfast that day. Jihyun was already eating when Jimin came down and so they ate together. Their dad had already left for work so he wasn't able to join them, and their mother was getting ready for her job too so she had already eaten.
"Hey Jihyun, you know we have new neighbors?" Jimin asked as they ate.
"Oh yea, mom mentioned something about that yesterday," Jihyun replied nodding.
"Ok, well our new neighbors have a kid and he is in my class. Yesterday we agreed to walk to school together. So, I hope you won't mind if he joins us?" Jimin asked glancing over at Jihyun.
"It's fine. The more the merrier." Jihyun replied with a smile.
Once they finished their breakfast, the two siblings grabbed their backpacks, hugged their mom who had come out of her room, and then bid her goodbye as they walked out the door.
Jimin saw Jungkook at the gate when he stepped out the door, and so he waved to the younger calling out, "Morning Kookie!"
"Kookie?" Jungkook asked smiling a little as Jimin approached him.
"Yep, I decided to shorten the nickname Tae gave you," Jimin responded nodding.
"I see," Jungkook responded looking behind Jimin. Jimin turned and pulled his brother to stand beside him.
"This is Jihyun, my younger brother. Jihyun, this is Jungkook, the one I said just transferred into my class yesterday. By the way, he's the same age as you." Jimin said introducing the two to each other and being pleasantly surprised when a blue string attached the two from their hearts.
"Hello, how are you in hyung's class if you're my age?." Jihyun asked holding out his hand to Jungkook.
"Hi...um it's because I skipped a few grades...you're taller than I thought you'd be, considering Jimin's height," Jungkook said shaking Jihyun's hand.
"Hey!" Jimin cried in mock offense hitting Jungkook on the head with a pout on his face.
"Yea, I get that a lot. But we're not all that short, it just Jimin and mom." Jihyun said laughing. Jimin pouted even more and huffed in irritation with the two younger males.
"Yah! I'm older than both of you! You two should respect me!" Jimin said in an indignant tone.
"It's kind of hard to respect someone so much shorter than me," Jungkook said with a fond smile.
"You're the worst," Jimin said frowning.
"I do respect you hyung, but I can't help it if you're so short and cute!" Jihyun said, ruffling Jimin's hair, causing Jimin to pout even more which only served to make the others laugh and coo at him.
"Fine, see if I help you out when you get in another argument with someone," Jimin muttered beginning to walk away.
"What? Wait no! I'm sorry! Forgive me hyung!" Jihyun shouted running after Jimin who proceeded to run as well. Jungkook followed close behind laughing the whole way at the two brothers constant playful banter.
When the three of them reached the school gate, Jihyun went a separate way after waving goodbye to them. Jimin decided to ignore Jungkook as revenge for the younger still not having apologized to him. And it seemed to work because pretty soon Jungkook was pleading with Jimin to not ignore him and apologizing promising to always respect him from now on.
"Jimin hyung please forgive me? If you don't I'm gonna tickle you!" Jungkook threatened when all his pleading seemed to fail. Jimin continued to ignore him and so Jungkook grabbed the elder and began tickling his sides.
"Alright, you're forgiven!" Jimin finally relented, laughing and pushing Jungkook away from him.
"Yay! Now I know your weakness!" Jungkook exclaimed with a huge grin.
"You brat. I knew you'd only bring me trouble the moment you walked into class." Jimin stated rolling his eyes at the younger as they both took their seats. Jungkook smiled brightly at that and was about to say something when there was a loud crash. Jimin jumped startled by the noise and looked up towards the door where the noise had come from. There he saw Taehyung on the floor a desk overturned next to him. In front of Taehyung seemed to be a very mad Yoongi. Jimin hadn't even noticed the two of them come in, and he would be surprised to see Yoongi there since this wasn't his class, but it wasn't really uncommon for Yoongi to walk Taehyung to class in the mornings.
"What's going on?" Jimin asked as he quickly went to help Taehyung off the floor. Taehyung looked like he was about to cry and Yoongi who'd seemed so angry only moments ago was now looking at them in shock. Neither of them said a word and so Jimin tried again.
"Yoongi hyung?" He called out to the elder, but Yoongi didn't acknowledge him.
"Sorry," Yoongi mumbled and then walked out of the classroom without another glance towards Taehyung. Jimin wanted to go after him and ask what was the matter, but Taehyung was his first priority.
"Are you alright?" Jimin asked Taehyung hugging the younger. Taehyung nodded but he still looked like he was about to cry.
"Yea...hyung didn't hurt me...he just scared me when he pushed the desk," Taehyung said.
"Come on, let's go somewhere else," Jimin said as he noticed the crowd gathering around them. Taehyung would probably need a comforting presence and the classroom full of students definitely wasn't the place for Jimin to comfort someone. Taehyung nodded and so Jimin turned to Jungkook and said, "Could you come up with an excuse for us?"
Jungkook nodded and told him not to worry. And so Jimin placed an arm around Taehyung's waist and led him out of the classroom and towards the rooftop so they would be able to talk in peace.
