It was silent on the rooftop for a whole minute. Jimin's eyes were still watery as he waited for Taehyung's reactions. He was afraid the younger wouldn't believe him, after all, it was a bizarre thing, wasn't it? It was the things you'd read in books, not something you expected to happen in real life. So it was completely reasonable for Jimin to think Taehyung wouldn't believe him.

"Strings of fate? What do you mean?" Taehyung finally asked after taking a large inhale of air and gazing at Jimin with a puzzled and somewhat dubious look.

"I m-mean that I see s-strings that connect people... they usually f-form when the t-two individuals m-meet each other f-for the first time," Jimin tried to explain, but he'd never had to before so he didn't really know how to.

"You mean... like the red string of fate thing? That kind of concept?" Taehyung asked furrowing his eyebrows.

"K-kind of?.... B-but it's more than j-just red... there are so many other colors, like blue, pink, green, purple... and lately, I've been seeing some new ones."

"So... you're telling me you see actual strings connecting people together from their chest and they are all different colors?"

"Well... some of them are connected from the chest, b-but others connect people from places like their wrist, pinkies, head, and other places."

"... Jimin, is this some kind of joke?" Taehyung asked with a frown adorning his face.

"No," Jimin answered seriously.

"Then... can you prove it?" Taehyung asked raising an eyebrow. Jimin frowned at that. He couldn't prove it. There was no feasible way to prove to Taehyung what he said was real.

"No... I can't... All I can do is describe the strings to you and tell you what I've figured out over the years about the meaning of each color." Jimin answered.

"...Ok then tell me some things about them... Do we have any connecting us?"

"Yea... you and I share a dark blue string... it represents platonic soulmates... or so I think."

"Platonic soulmates? How are you so sure?"

"I... Well, because everyone I know who has one shares them with their best friend."

"Hmm... Do we have any other strings connecting us?"

"No, everyone typically has only one string connecting them to another person. Dark blue is actually kind of rare in of itself but you... you got two of them. One connecting to me and one connecting to Jungkookie," Jimin answered.

"Jungkook?" Taehyung reiterated and Jimin nodded.

"That's... interesting I guess," Taehyung said slowly. Jimin could hear the doubt floating in the younger's voice.

Jimin looked down and shook his head before softly saying, "You don't believe me."

Taehyung sighed and then placed a hand against Jimin's chin and forced the elder to look at him. Taehyung gave him a kind smile before saying, "Sorry... it's just hard to believe, but if you're really not trying to joke around right now... I believe you."

Jimin gazed at the taller male with a frown. "Do you really?" Jimin asked, seriously doubting the younger's words.

Taehyung nodded as he released Jimin's chin. "I guess... It's not all that hard to believe... I mean it could kind of explain why you're always playing with air and how you seem to know what kind of relationship people have with others when you first meet them," Taehyung said with a thoughtful look.

Jimin studied the younger for a moment and he came to the conclusion Taehyung was serious. Taehyung did actually believe him. Jimin smiled once he made that conclusion. "You really believe me!" he said happily.
