Chapter 21

*Taehyung's POV*

"Hyung is Yoongi hyung coming?" Taehyung asked Namjoon who was hard at work composing lyrics on his computer. Namjoon paused what he was doing to look at Taehyung and then shrugged.

"I asked him to come but he didn't make any promises. He said he'd try though." Namjoon replied and then went back to work. Taehyung frowned not liking the answer. He really missed Yoongi and wanted to try and talk to the elder though he was also scared to talk to Yoongi as well. Still, it had been almost a week since Yoongi stopped talking to them all and Taehyung really missed him.

"Do you think Yoongi hyung hates us now?" Taehyung asked.

"...I don't think he does. He's... he's probably just dealing with some issues." Namjoon answered.

"Did Jin hyung tell you that?"

"He implied it."

"I still can't believe Jin hyung wasn't able to get Yoongi hyung to talk. He always gets Yoongi hyung to open up." Taehyung said sounding a bit envious.

"Jin can get just about anyone to open up." Namjoon agreed. "If I'm being honest I think Yoongi hyung did tell Jin something but Jin isn't telling us because either Yoongi hyung asked him not to or Jin thinks it's best to keep it to himself."

Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows, "Why would he think that?". Namjoon shrugged not having an answer for the younger. The two heard a door open and close and then Hoseok was coming back into the room.

"So what did your mom say?" Taehyung asked Hoseok who was pocketing his phone.

"She said I could stay for another hour or two," Hoseok answered smiling.

"Oh good, that gives us plenty of time" Namjoon replied and Hoseok nodded as he shuffled over and took a seat in the chair beside Namjoon.

Taehyung watched the two older males work on composing a song for a bit before looking down at the homework he had spread around him. He was technically supposed to finish it all before going home but he didn't think he'd be able to, there was just too much and it was too complicated. Taehyung sighed as he eyed his phone, he wanted to play a game rather than attempt his homework, but he was sure if Namjoon saw him he'd be reprimanded.

He glanced at Namjoon and saw the elder absorbed in his own world with Hoseok so he decided to risk it and reached for his phone, but before he could grab it he heard the doorbell ring. Taehyung's head shot up and within seconds he was on his feet yelling he'd get the door. He raced downstairs and went to open the door. His heart was pounding as he hoped that the person at the door would be Yoongi.

However, it wasn't. Taehyung opened the door to find it was only the pizza delivery guy. He'd actually forgotten that they'd even ordered pizza in the first place. Shaking his head and squelching down his disappointment. They'd already paid ahead of time so Taehyung took the pizza and thanked the guy before heading back upstairs. He set the pizza on the table opening it and grabbing a couple slices and handing them Namjoon and Hoseok.

"Thanks, Tae," Hoseok said and Namjoon hummed his thank you. Taehyung nodded at them and then grabbed a slice of pizza for himself. He sat down in the only available chair and ate quietly while listening to Hoseok and Namjoon talk.

"When will you be done?" Taehyung asked curiously as he looked at Namjoon's computer screen which had a bunch of tracks on it.

"I think we're just about to finish it up," Namjoon replied happily.

"So you're going to record soon?" Taehyung asked brightening considerably.

"Yea. Want to hear what we have so far?" Hoseok asked smiling at Taehyung who nodded eagerly.

"Alright. We could do a quick run-through of what we've got." Namjoon said as he finished the last of his pizza slice. Hoseok nodded setting his back in the box to finish after they did their run-through.

Taehyung sat up straight and waited eagerly. He didn't have to wait long as Namjoon started the beat and then they began rapping. Taehyung's mouth hung open as he heard what was coming out of Namjoon's mouth. It sounded so powerful and awesome. And then Hoseok started rapping and Taehyung couldn't help himself as he started moving to the beat, loving what he was hearing. Seriously, the two were gifted in ways Taehyung felt he would never be. When they finished Taehyung stared at them in amazement.

"That was epic!! But... that ending was a little weird, is that what you're working on now?" Taehyung asked a bit confused.

"Yea, well sort of," Namjoon replied rubbing the back of his neck.

Taehyung tilted his head looking at the elder curiously.

"We have the ending finished it's just it's not working out very well when we try rapping it," Hoseok answered with a sigh.

"Why?" Taehyung asked.

"I don't know... " Hoseok replied shrugging his shoulder.

"I wish Yoongi hyung was here, he'd be able to help us figure out what was wrong," Namjoon said with a sigh.

"Maybe we should try calling him?" Hoseok suggested.

"I guess," Namjoon replied looking around for his phone but was unable to find it. "Tae, could you call him? I can't find my phone."

Taehyung bit his lip but then nodded. He slipped out of the chair and back onto the ground. Grabbing his phone he pulled up his contact list and found Yoongi's name. He paused for a second before clicking the call button. The phone rang for a while and Taehyung was beginning to think it would go to voicemail but then Yoongi answered.

"Hello? Tae? Is something wrong?" Yoongi asked his voice sounding labored. Taehyung's eyes widened surprised that Yoongi had actually picked up.

"Tae?" Yoongi called out again sounding concerned and that brought Taehyung out of his stupor.

"Ah sorry hyung. Um no nothing's wrong... I... we... Namjoon wanted to know if you were coming anytime soon?" Taehyung replied. There was a long pause before Taehyung heard the elder sigh.

"I guess I can stop by for a bit." Yoongi answered, his breathing still somewhat labored "I'll be there in twenty minutes, but I can't stay longer than an hour. Tell Namjoon that and ask if he still wants me to come."

"Hyung, he says he can be here in twenty minutes but can't stay for more than an hour," Taehyung said to Namjoon who nodded saying it was fine.

"He still wants you to come," Taehyung said to Yoongi.

"Ok," Yoongi replied and then hung up without saying goodbye. Taehyung put his phone down feeling nervous all over again.
