Copycat

I went to the park to relax, bored out of my mind at home. There was a statue being revealed in honour of Ladybug and Cat Noir. Cat Noir was there but Ladybug has yet to show up. I was standing next to the sculptor and Cat Noir, awaiting Ladybug.

"Why didn't she come?" the sculptor says sad that the person he looked up to most didn't show.

"You know, me and Ladybug are a couple. We're like thissss," he crosses his fingers and extends the s, making Théo, the sculptor, leave angrily.

"Now there was no need to lie. He has a simple crush, how would you feel if that happened to you, huh?"

"Sorry, I was just-"

"Jealous," I state then walk back home.

I never knew that Ladybug and Cat Noir were some of the reasons for the akumatized victims.

After about 20 minutes I hear a knock from my balcony door. "What do you need?"

"Can you turn on the tv?"

"Why?"

"I need to see the news," I sigh but do so.

There was a news report about Cat Noir stealing paintings. I raise an eyebrow, confused as to what was going on. He seems worried and jumps out the window.

"Wow, not even a goodbye," I mutter under my breath. Wyazz appears beside me saying I needed to get to the Louvre.

I make it and when I enter, or sneak in, I find Cat Noir trapped in a room full of paintings. I laugh, putting my sunglasses on my head, watching him try to escape.

"Are you going to stand there and laugh or help me?"

"How about I give you a tip," he doesn't seem happy but listens anyway. "Why don't you try using your cataclysm"

He hits his the bars with his forehead, mad that he didn't think of it sooner. He escapes and runs away before the cops can capture him again.

"Wow, not even a thank you," I mutter.

I sneak back outside, not wanting to get told off for being somewhere I wasn't supposed to be. I was walking around when I'm pulled off my feet onto a building. Cat Noir was talking to Ladybug through his staff.

"And why did you kidnap me?" I say when he finishes talking to Ladybug.

"I need you to help me find Copycat"

"Why don't you try checking his studio. Where else would he be hiding out?"

"Right. And where is that?"

"Ugh. Do you really need to me lead you there?" He doesn't answer, implying he does. I sigh. "Fine. I'll show you"

He smiles and wraps his arm around me. He uses his staff to launch us on and off of roofs. Eventually we make it to the studio, he peeks his head in through the door noticing it was empty.

"Umm, are you gonna remove your arm?" I ask, his arm was still around my waist.

"Uh yeah, sorry. You should go home now, don't want you getting hurt," he removes his arm and looks back in the studio, making a plan up in his head.

"No. I'm staying and doing what I was told to do"

"What were you told to do?"

I remain silent for a second but then decide to tell him. "I'll tell you once you finish with Copycat"

I sit outside the studio, waiting for Cat Noir and Ladybug to de-akumatize Théo. Finally Théo was back to normal and Ladybug left. Cat Noir came outside, looking a little sad.

"Hey, lets go to my house. I'll tell you about what I was told to do and we can have something to eat"

We land on my balcony and go inside. I get some food and turn on the tv. There was a report about how Ladybug and Cat Noir saved the day, and that Cat wasn't a thief.

"So-" I swallow the piece of cookie I was chewing. "My grandpa told me to watch over you and Ladybug"

He sits waiting for me to add on, but I don't. "That's it?"

"Yup. That's all"

"Wow, I thought it would've been something more exciting"

"Ha, no. It's not as extravagant as you think"

"Yeah well I gotta go. I lost my phone and need to find it," he hops onto the railing, looking back at me. "Bye, and thank you... for today"

He disappears and I mutter to myself. "There's the thank you and goodbye I was waiting for"
