Victoria sat by the fireplace in her father's antler chair. She's bummed out at William's constant rejection of her advances. Lafue saw this and then one of the other guys want it takes to get her attention. "You have to be like her father of course" Lafue states.
"Tell us Lafue about my father" Victoria states smirking. Lafue always had a way with words and a good singing voice. "What does it take to be the next Gaston?" she asks.
"[Lafue]
Gosh, it disturbs me to see you Victoria
Looking so down in the dumps
Every guy here'd love to have your father's name, Victoria!
Even when he was taking his lumps
There's no man in town as admired as him
He's everyone's favorite guy
Everyone's awed and inspired by him

He uses antlers in all of his decorating

It just occurred to me that I'm illiterate

Gaston!" everyone in the tavern finished singing as Victoria took her seat again. Lafue sat on the stool in front of her with a tray. He gave her the food and wine on the tray.
"Thank you Lafue, you always cheer me up and give me encouragement" Victoria states as she takes a sip of her wine.
"Well I have been your attendant since you were small my lady" Lafue states. "Besides your father would have my head if you returned home upset" he reminds her.
"True, but how am I to get William to marry me?" Victoria asks. "I've tried everything and I am the most beautiful girl in the village" she states. "So why does he reject my proposal?" she asks.
"He is stupid and blind my lady" Lafue states. "Maybe you should speak with his mother" he suggests. "She's always telling him to marry and have children, if you win her heart then he'll accept your proposal" he tells Victoria.
"You're right Lafue and she should be back now from town" Victoria says thoughtfully. "It's settled I'll go over tomorrow when William is away, to speak to Katalin alone" she states. Happy with her plan she relaxed into the fur of her father's chair. He was out hunting before winter takes a hold of the forest.

Katalin had just been dropped off home by the walking carriage. She had calmed down knowing that she'd see her son in a few weeks. But she also had new inspiration for new dresses. So she went inside and started sketching designs. However, she ended up getting tired. So she prayed for her son's safety before going to sleep.
