Five o'clock, her watch read.
Sandra had been planning to leave in the afternoon, but the feast arranged was so good that she couldnt stop gorging. Then there was the family song, games with cousins.... She did miss her home sometimes, it made her feel safe and loved and never alone. But she knew that if she wanted to fly she must leave this place.

"Guess I'll meet Amy real quick and head back to college," she said out loud.

"Are you sure you want to leave today? It's getting dark. There won't be a single soul out on the roads past seven, you know that!" Her mother fretted.

"It's fine, Mom. I'll make sure to get on the highway by seven. I drive real fast you know, Alex taught me well."

She noticed her mom raise an eyebrow out of the corner of her eye. But she chose to ignore it for the time being.

'Trekking Office' read a broken blue signboard. It was a small square building gloomily standing alone on the side of a road otherwise filled with pine trees on either side. Sandra was sceptical to go in, but then she didn't have much time. Upon opening the door, she immediately realised that the place was not used very often. It was dusty, cluttered and even worse, deserted.

"Hello?" She rang the bell atop the table laid in front.

No answer.

Six o'clock, Sandra glanced at her watch. "What do I do now?" She asked loudly. Then again it was about Alex's sister, it was a favor he asked of her.

Crrackk!

Sandra startled as she stamped on a metal plate which said, 'Casper Inn 200mtr'

"Well, I guess it wont hurt to go a little further."

Thinking so she got into her car and started the engine. Just as she checked her rearview, she thought she saw two eyes staring at her. Two blood shot hollowed eyes peeping from behind the car. That's all she mustered. Before she could be sure, they were gone.

Sandra didn't have the guts to get out. She sat still and watched all her mirrors closely. There was nothing.

"Ha ha," she laughed nervously, "Things you see when one is scared.. Ha ha!!"

She wiped the sweat off her face and geared on.
