Seventeen

"What do you mean what do I wanna do?" Olivia asked taking her hand from his "well you cant keep it sweetheart, it will be hard on your own" Daryl warned her. Olivia shifted across him from the bed "i'll come with you if you want" he added offering her company for a termination "an abortion? You want me to have an abortion?" She scoffed, Daryl looked at her and half shrugged "you know as well as i do it wouldnt work being on your own" he patronised her, she looked at him open mouthed "darling, I cant leave Kate" he sighed, she still not being able to speak, she couldnt believe the words were leaving his mouth this way "and she cant find out about this" he whispered ashamedly.

Olivia got up from the bed and opened her door and waved her arm for him to leave, she didnt speak even though she wanted to tell him to go fuck himself, she couldnt. He nodded and exhaled deeply as he walked out the door followed by her slamming it in his face.

She looked through the peephole to make sure he left, he lingered for a while and she could see he was thinking on what to do next, whether to knock to speak to her again or to leave, he eventually chose the latter.

Olivia took the test and tossed it in the bin, pushing everything to the back of her mind she lay down on the bed in hopes to block it out for the night.

When she opened her eyes it was hitting 7am, she barely slept, she kept dreaming it was her Daryl and their baby but each time reality hit her and she was far from that, checking her phone she saw no messages on her phone which hurt her even more. Daryl literally didnt care.

Feeling low and needing a friend she called Lori and arranged to meet her at hers after Carl went to school.

"I hate to say I told you so honey" Lori sighed as she embraced her friend who was sobbing on her couch "so regardless of Daryl, what are you going to do?" She asked Olivia as she wiped her eyes "im not thinking about it, but i know i cant do it alone, well I know it will be hard but I dont think I can" She blubbed "it will be a constant memory of that man" she added. Lori stroked Olivia's hair "its shit girl it really is. But look at Andrea, she survived it and she was a teenager?" Lori advised, she gave Olivia a simple look that told her she would be there for her whatever she decides to do. "I just never expected him to be so cold about it. Its like he is a different person now." Olivia finished, she could talk for hours about this but what was the point? Daryl didnt want to know and he made sure she was well aware of that.

Lori insisted Olivia stopped checking in and out of hotels and stay with them in the spare room until her cheque clears and she finds her own place.

Olivia put her clothes in the wardrobe of her room and Lori sat on the bed to keep her company. "Do you want me to come with you for it if you decide to? Or will you go with him?" Lori asked breaking the silence that had fallen in the room. Olivia continued to fold her stuff as she thought "ill go on my own" she replied bluntly as she eyed up the space she had left in the wardrobe, without looking at Lori she could still tell her she was giving her a stern look "fuck him, i dont need him" Olivia shrugged "you should still tell him what you are going to do" Lori warned her motherly. Olivia slammed the folded pile she had made back on the bed "I aint telling him and you cant either!" She snapped almost shocking herself with her reaction. Lori nodded weakly and saw that as her cue to leave Olivia alone.

"Lori wait" Olivia pleaded "I'm sorry, I don't mean to keep snapping, this is just such a huge fucking fucked up mess!" She sighed hugging her friend to apologise "Whatever you decide, whatever you do it will all work out in the end" Lori tried to reassure her.

As the evening wore on Olivia had dinner with Lori and Carl as Rick was working late with Shane on patrol, she barely ate, even if she did love Lori's chilli she just didn't fancy any of it and instead pushed it around her plate good enough to make it look like she had eaten more.

Lori took Carl upstairs to get him ready for bed and most likely to do any last minute homework he left in his bag. Olivia cleared up from dinner and watched out the window as Rick's patrol car pulled into the driveway. She opened the door to him, mainly to sneak a cigarette, Sure Rick would know she was knocked up but knowing Lori she would of sworn him to secrecy so technically he couldn't say anything to her for having a smoke.

Shane had joined Rick and she over heard him offer some dinner as they walked up the path to the front door, Rick shot Olivia look when he saw her light up but as soon as she took the first puff she remembered the way it tasted and how it quickly made her feel sick, so she held it purely for old times sake.

"Mind if I join?" Shane asked leaving Rick to enter the house alone, "sure" she replied handing him the freshly lit cigarette she no longer wanted "you seem down" he gently nudged her in hopes of seeing a smile "you have no idea" she sighed in reply fiddling with her bracelets on her arm "so what did he do?" Shane asked with a smirk, Olivia looked at him with confusion which made Shane laugh "c'mon I used to make you have a face like a slapped ass all the time and seeing as you have one now I can only assume its another guy, or Dixon?" he teased but it was the correct assumption and Olivia nearly spilled all to him but she stopped, giving him a weak smile as her only form of response. Shane finished the smoke and flicked it far across the driveway earning an impressed expression from Olivia. "Why don't you go in and eat? its probably getting cold" she suggested looking back towards the house, Shane looked at her to see if she was okay "Really, I'm a big girl, I can sit on a porch on my own" She insisted trying to finish with a joke, He looked reluctant to leave her but he did, and she followed inside not long after heading straight for her room in hopes of getting a better night sleep than the one before.
