"We used to have ice cream after" Daryl joked as they redressed themselves, Olivia smirked "i got no ice cream or no freezer" she laughed in reply. Daryl finished doing the last button up on his shirt and let out a deflated sigh, he knew he had to leave he just didnt want to.

"I should get back to Lori's" Olivia spoke looking at her watch, they both shared the same disheartened look, not wanting to leave but they had to go back to their normal lives. Daryl motioned her to follow him as they left, she tried to decline a lift to Lori's but he wouldnt take no for an answer and seeing that it was starting to get dark, she relented and accepted.

"I feel like we should talk about it" Olivia said awkwardly looking Daryl's way as he drove, he gave her a sideway smile "But I also feel like we don't need to, and that its done now" she mentioned leaning her chin on her hand as she gazed out the window. She felt him put his hand on her thigh in order to reach for her hand resting on it, he gave it a squeeze and she looked down to see their hands together and she knew in her heart they were meant to always be together but life had other ideas. "I love you" she almost whispered, not believing she didn't stop herself from saying it, it wasn't the right place or time, Daryl took her hand and kissed it before replying "I love you too Liv"

Olivia felt a little relieved when she saw Lori's house as they approached, the silence that had fallen in the truck was becoming deafening and the urge to kiss him was intensifying the more they drove. "Thanks Daryl" she spoke looking his was only to see him going a ghostly white "you okay?" she asked, he looked like his mouth had gone dry as she saw him gulp to salivate it, he didn't respond but he opened his door to get out and so did she.

His truck must of made plenty of noise as Lori came out in a rush to greet them "what the hell are you two doing? Kate is in there waiting for you, she said she has been trying to get hold of you all day!" Lori sounded annoyed to see them together "relax will you, my tyre popped and he came to help me" Olivia explained looking at Daryl and pulling a face for him to embellish it more as to why they were so late "The whole wheel is fucked, its in my garage now, not sure when I'll be able to fix it by though" he shrugged slyly nodding Olivia's way. Lori narrowed her eyes at her friend, she could read Olivia just like she could at high school and Olivia knew she knew something she just couldn't work out what.

The light from the Grimes's hallway fell across the trio's faces as the front door opened and out came a raven haired woman, just by looking at Daryl's face she knew it was the famous Kate she had heard so much about. "There you are baby!" she smiled pulling Daryl in for an embrace, Olivia found it hard to not rip her hair out as she ran her hands over her man, but then he wasn't hers, he was Kate's, her and Daryl made that decision only hours before now that she wasn't his anymore.

"Urgh, why does she have to be pretty?" Olivia whispered to Lori as she turned away from Kate and Daryl who were walking inside. "something happened with you two didn't it?" Lori asked quietly barely moving her lips, Olivia looked her dead in the eye and shrugged "no" , Lori didn't look convinced and Olivia was sure that she didn't sound convincing "well seeing as Daryl keeps slyly looking back your way as he walks up my driveway I'd say otherwise" Lori smugly smiled at her friend knowing she would get the truth from her friend eventually. Olivia linked arms with her and nudged her to walk inside as the cold air made them both goose pimply "my tyre did pop and he helped me move some of my clothes into my new apartment" Olivia explained, it was the truth she was only just omitting some other factors that technically Lori didn't need to know.

When Olivia walked in she was greeted by a sickinly happy-smiley Kate "Are you Olivia?" she asked pulling Olivia in for a hug, she looked to her friends disgusted at hugging Kate but after a 'be nice' face from Daryl she put on her perfected Barbie smile and nodded at her question "I've heard so much about you, you all went highschool together? and you are moving back to town?" Kate listed off information about her which felt weird, she again looked to Daryl to see just how much had been revealed about her but he shook his head slyly. "Lori told me you all used to ditch classes together" Kate added smiling at Lori "yup, that was us" Olivia fake smiled in response. The awkwardness was rife but Kate couldn't see it, she was completely oblivious to anything about Olivia and Daryl, even Rick and Lori looked uncomfortable and it had nothing to do with them. "I never get anything outta this one, I didn't even know there was a highschool reunion until the night he went out to it!" Kate laughed playfully nudging Daryl who snorted rather embarrassed at the situation they were both in. "So you had car trouble Olivia?" Rick asked trying to change the sensitive subject of highschool. Daryl looked thankful to his friend for doing so and explained what happened to her car. The whole time Lori looking at Olivia to see her expression as she knew there was more to it. "aw, you rescued a damsel in distress" Kate spoke as she teased some hair from Daryl's face. Olivia felt her blood boiling.

Olivia fake yawned and made out the time on her watch was late enough for her to go bed, she said her goodbyes quickly, avoiding another hug from the woman she wished she was and retreated to her room. "oh my god" she whispered to herself, life seemed easier before she met Kate, she didn't even know she was carrying her fiancée's child, she had no idea Olivia was his ex-wife, did she even know he was married at one point? All these thoughts and questions began to plague Olivia's mind and she tried her hardest to not over think, she had to stop thinking of Daryl but she couldn't.

Knowing Daryl, her one true love was downstairs was killing her, knowing she had to let him go was killing her, and thinking of not having the baby was killing her but not as much as having it and seeing her soulmate in his or hers face every damn day would kill her more.

With tears streaming down her face Olivia faced the wall and tried to cry silently, she clutched onto a pillow for comfort as she soaked it with her tears. Her phone vibrated and beeped and she rolled over to see why hoping she hadn't lost her comfy spot in bed for a spam message.

I'm so sorry I didn't know she would be here, I never told her about us, speaking about you back then was too hard for me. Don't think by not telling her means I never loved you because I did. xxx D

I mean I still do love you Olivia xx D

Olivia was about to message him back when Lori barged in and sat on her bed "I knew you were not asleep" Lori smirked as she motherly placed a loose strand of hair behind Olivia's ear "Something else happened didn't it?" she quizzed again and Olivia rolled her eyes "He came to pick up my car, we had a fight and then I had to go to the hospital" Olivia explained sitting up in bed, Lori looked shocked and nodded her friend to continue "Its fine, I just had some cramps they said they get brought on by stress" she reassured her friend "You really have to take it easy in the first twelve weeks honey" Lori warned her taking her hand "yea well it wont make a difference next week" Olivia snapped snatching her hand away, Lori knew what she meant but Olivia gave her a look to not even attempt to change her mind.

Lori reluctantly left Olivia to go sleep and she reached for her phone to send Daryl a reply

I love you too. xxx
