As if those few inches were almost enough to be enough.

That pain in your chest you decided not to mind a long time ago. 

Your letter that was never sent, buried beneath your pillows. 

And every night you tuck yourself to sleep, you remind you that he is with her now. 

Her name is the news, plastered around the city, you can't help but notice. 

Like she is the only person that could make him feel anything. 

And you, you were assigned to be a friend. 

Some comfort buddy he goes to, away from his problems. 

Do not, I say, do not say yes to his every request. 

Do not look into his eyes. 

Do not let your pen bleed his name, you are more than cheap cologne he tries to suit him well. 

There is nothing wrong with saying no. 

Learn to let him go, bleed, and let him go.
