For Dry Hair
Coconut Oil Hair Mask
Coconut oil has a clean light scent- unlike olive oils' Olivey scent that liners after a while and is also hard to remove from your hair. Coconut oil is a perfect lightweight moisturizer for dry hair!
You will need:
2 parts Coconut oil
Directions:
Mix coconut oil and olive oil in a small bowl.
Massage the mixture to your hair, paying attention to the ends.
Wrap your hair in a bun on top of your head then cover with a shower cap and leave it in for 15-30 minutes (depending on how dry your hair is)
Rinse out in the shower with Shampoo and conditioner as well.
Banana Hair Mask
This mask is perfect for those you with thin hair bananas have lots of potassium, which cns be used to strengthen and fix damaged hair without weighing it down.
You will need:
1 banana (the riper, the better!)
1 tbsp honey (optional)
Directions:
Smash banana as much as you can making sure all chunks are smoothed out (this is VERY important! If you don't do this, you'll be stuck with pieces of banana in your hair all day so blending it will be help full too)
Massage the banana onto your hair. Paying attention to your front scalp and ends.
Wrap hair in a shower cap and wait 15-20 minutes
Rinse out in the showering don't forget to
Shampoo and condition too.
Avocado Hair Mask
You probably already know that avocados are great moisturizing face masks. But I bet you didn't know you know you can use them to nourish your hair strands as well! Egg yolks are packed with good fats and proteins to naturally bring your hair back to life!
You will need:
½ avocado
1 egg yolk
Directions:
Blend the avocado and egg yolk in a blender
Massage into your hair, going from the bottom, up to your scalp.
Wrap hair in a shower cap and wait 15-20 minutes
Rinse out in the shower
Shampoo and condition also.
Thicker Hair
You can use:
•egg
•Aloe Vera
•orange juice
Use one of those 2 -3 times a week. (If you do egg, I would do it on a week end, and put milk in if too so you get thick smooth hair)
Massage these into your hair, put it in a bun or shower cap for 10-15 min. After that, go wash it out in the shower, towel dry, and use a wide tooth comb for tangles.
LONGER HAIR
•coconut milk
•puréed pumpkin
Use one of these and massage it in to your hair, tie your hair up or put it in a shower cap, and leave it on for 45min - 1hr. Do this 1-2 times a week for fast results.
Oily Hair
I don't know of any masks that you can use to prevent or get rid of oily hair but I do have some tips to prevent it.
•don't touch your hair because that will stimulate the oils
•you can try putting baby powder or corn starch in your hair for 5-10 min before you wash your hair in the shower.
•use less or no conditioner on your hair.
•use dry shampoo.
Smooth Hair
•milk is great for soft hair
•coconut oil is great for conditioning and getting soft hair
•apple cider vinegar helps get rid of grease in your scalp, helps your hair grow faster and help he rid of itchy dandruff.
Advanced tip:
Try applying the masks in the shower after you shampoo. The steam from your shower will open up your hair follicles and allow the masks to go deeper into the hair. Cover your hair with the mask with a shower cap, and at the end of your shower, rinse out and with conditioner! It should be soft, and healthy:)
