This is the third time the newborn woke up tonight, and it was my turn to calm her down. I rolled out of bed and walked to her room.
"Shh Copeland it's okay." I said while picking her up.
I bounced her up and down and sang to sooth her.
"Hey baby, daddy's gonna to take you to the zoo today, to watch the monkeys swing and go oo oo oo. At the zoo today.
Hey baby, daddy's gonna take you to the zoo today, to watch the elephants go (elephant noise) at the zoo today.
And when that didn't work I just sang God knows what.
She began to giggle then became fussy again.
"Are you hungry? Are you hungry Copeland?"
I walked down the stairs and warmed her a bottle.
While feeding her I turned on the TV.
MTV was talking about our up coming appearance at Warp Tour. I saw the fans behind the news caster. They were screaming and jumping up and down.
I looked down at my sweet baby girl. She was hugging her bottle like it was her best friend. I brought her up to my chest and kissed her on her head.
"I love you my little sun shine."
I said while falling asleep, sitting up with her on the couch.
