*Jack's P.o.V.*
"We'll always be there, Jamie."
It seemed like only yesterday when I said those words to Jamie not the 5 or so years it's actually been. I replay that scene in my mind.
"Your leaving? But what if Pitch comes back?" Jamie asked me, "What if we stop believing again? If I can't see you..."
"Hey, slow down, slow down." I said, "You tell me you stop believing in the moon when the sun comes up?"
"No."
"Okay, well, do you stop believing in the sun when clouds block it out?"
"Heh, no."
"We'll always be there, Jamie, and now, we'll always be here" I tap his chest, where his heart would be. "Which kinda' makes you a guardian too."
I get up and walk to North's sled.
"Jack!"
Jamie run to hug me. I'm surprised by the affection I just received. I didn't expect how the attention that I wanted so much would make me feel.
I hug him back before I go, smiling all the way.

*sigh* I miss Jamie.
I stopped visiting him since his 12th birthday. I got more busy with my Guardian responsabilities but I was still watching Jamie from far away. He's 17 now, in his last year of high school, and he's so grown up. I just don't feel like I belong in his world anymore, but I know he still believes. I remember when he didn't believe and when no one could see me but... I'm no longer alone. I am a Guardian.
