SOUNDTRACKS.

"sounds like a terrible idea. i'm in." - jasper jordan

• adding a 'soundtrack' (i.e., a list of songs) to your book is a great idea. in my opinion soundtracks are cool, because if your readers listen to the songs you suggest, they can kind of get a feel for your book.

• there's a couple ways you can add a soundtrack to your book:

a) one super popular way is a chapter near the intro that is literally just a list of songs that you associate with your book. this is cool. then if the reader wants they can like make a playlist on spotify or apple music and listen to it when they read your book.

b) the route i chose for my book is to put a song at the beginning of each chapter that sort of encompasses the feeling i want to portray in that chapter, and maybe has a quote from the lyrics that directly relates to what happened in in that specific chapter.

obviously the music you like / listen to is going to be the music you use for your soundtrack, but i'll list below a few artists whose songs i find inspire me while i write my books and whose music kind of reminds me of 'the 100':

- imagine dragons (duh)

- twenty one pilots

- the lumineers

- sleeping at last

- tom odell

- hozier

- volcano choir

- lorde

- vancouver sleep clinic

- ben howard

this was a really short chapter, but i just wanted to add it! comment songs that remind you of the 100. 🌲 ALSO if you have any suggestions of a chapter i should write for this book feel free to comment it or message me! xoxo
