You know, you never really get it right the first time. You put in your whole heart and then some more that you didn't even know you had in you, and get nothing and return, and that's okay. Because love takes a bit of trial and error, of feeling your way through the dark to find them, of rolling the dice, of late night conversations trying to grasp the concept of yourselves, of looking into each other's eyes and not seeing what you want to see but knowing that maybe it's a good thing that first loves don't work out.
