Chapter 3

I got some rest last night. I dreamt about hanging out with Nagisa. Nagisa is so mysterious, I love it.

I woke up and got ready. I made sure I looked extra attractive for some reason. I don't know why. It's just a lonely boy. What's so special about him? No he's not just a lonely boy. He's as special as the whole world. Why? Because I said so!

I walked to school. I skipped Itonas house and ran into school. I took my seat in class, even though no one was there.

I was going to get my name marked on roll book then leaving with Nagisa. Nagisa is a adorable name, isn't it?!

Then someone tapped on my shoulder. I was about to turn around and knock them out but I quickly changed that thought.

It was Nagisa. He smiled at me weakly. "Goodmorning Karma!" He said quietly, smiling a little. That little smile made my heart flutter. "Nagisa, Morning!" I said, excitedly. I caught a few people walking past staring at me for some reason.

"Are we still going out today?" Nagisa asked. I nodded and he smiled. "Great I look forward to it!" Nagisa exclaimed. Then I suddenly remembered the note!

"Hey Nagisa, how did you know where I lived and how did you get a note in my room?" I asked confusion in my voice. "I can do anything Karma!" He exclaimed.

"Your not some imaginary friend are you?" I asked, hoping that he wasn't. "Nice try but nope, better look next time!" He said.

He was a very happy person, surprisingly. Koro-Sensei came in and did roll book. After it was over I stood up. Nagisa did you same thing.

"Karma Akabane, where do you think your going?!" Koro-Sensei cried. "Skipping with Nagisa Shiota." I answered. I heard gasping. Shocked expressions on everyone's face. A few looked like they were about to cry.

I walked out, Nagisa following me. I slammed the door. "WHATS THEIR PROBLEM WITH YOU?!" I screamed when we got out. "They can't see me. They haven't been able to see me since the accident."

Accident? What accident? What was he on about? I stared at him. He looked like he was about to cry. I saw tears spilling out.

"What's wrong? Are you hurt? Something bad happened?" I asked with concern. Why do I care about him so much?

I hugged him. He was freezing cold. Does he not trust me?

"I remember everything from that accident and I wish I couldn't." He whispered.

We stayed hugging for a minute. We finally pulled away. He smiled and yet again, my heart fluttered like a butterfly. "So are we gonna hang out or not?" He asked still smiling. I nodded and pulled him away.

He hung out all day. We went to the park and got a ice cream. He looked so happy eating it. We also went to a small fair. We went on the ferris wheel.

"It's beautiful even in the day light!" He exclaimed. His eyes looked like diamonds. I just nodded in reply.

"MY BAG!" He suddenly shouted, shooting up in his seat my the cart wobble a bit.

"I LEFT MY BAG I HAVE TO GO BACK!" NAGISA SCREAMED. "Calm down we will go back." I said, making him sit down.

As soon as we got off the Nagisa ran back to school. I ran next to him. He had to stop a few times, but then went back to running.

As soon as we got to school it was last period. We both gasped for air. He looked at me, reaching for air.

"Come on, let's go in." I suggested and he nodded back. We walked in, a few people skipping class stared at us and whispered to their friends.

"I heard Akabane can see Nagisa!"
"What a freak."
"If he's playing a cruel joke it's not funny."
"Do you think he can actually see him."
"Maybe it's a imaginary friend."

They all made me want to punch them, but at the same time I was confused. Why are they acting like they can't see him?

We walked in to class and immediately we got stared and gasps. It was a awkward silence until a girl with green hair stood up. I think her name is Kayano but I'm not sure.

"Why did you say you can see Nagisa?!" She shouted making Nagisa flinch. After he recovered from the shock he went to go and get his bag.

"Because he's right there..." I said pointing at Nagisa who was getting his bag.

"Karma, I think your gonna find out my biggest secret." He said yet no one paid a bit of attention to him. He just stood there smirking.

"HES NOT THERE!" She screamed.
I glared at her. "YES HE IS! WHY ARE YOU BEING SO MEAN TO HIM? PRETENDING THAT HE ISNT THERE?!" I shouted.

"HOW CAN WE BE MEAN TO SOMEONE WHO IS DEAD?!" Kayano screamed.

The whole class went silent. I just stood there shocked. Dead? How could Nagisa be dead? I can see him. He can't be dead. Nagisa left without saying a word and I ran after him.

"Nagisa wait." I yelled down the hall. He stopped and looked back at me. He just stood there. He looked so sad.

"What is it, Karma?" He said snapping me from my thoughts. "What do they mean when they said your dead?" I asked.

"I'll tell you tomorrow." He said in almost a whisper.

I was walking back home. I couldn't get Kayanos words out of my head.

"HOW CAN WE BE MEAN TO SOMEONE WHO IS DEAD?"

Those words haunted my mind. How can I be the only one that can see Nagisa? And if he is dead, how did he die?

Millions of questions were running through my mind and not one of them could be answered until tomorrow.
