Scorpius and Al got to the office first. When they entered they were quite surprised by what they saw.
"Teddy?" Al asked. A boy who looked just like Teddy was lying ing the middle of the floor, arms and legs spread wide, looking completely broken. But it couldn't possibly be Teddy. Teddy didn't have meltdowns and lie on the floor, looking depressed. Albus did. So did Scorpius on occations, but not Teddy.
"That paperwork must have really sucked." Scorpius mused.
"You have no idea." Teddy groaned still lying on the ground. "I mean, I'm an auror, I'm used to paperwork, but this is just-" he seemed to struggle finding a word to describe it but before he could come up with one, the Gryffindor squad arrived.
"Hey guys, what's- what's up with you?" James asked looking down on Teddy.
"Life."
"That looks fun." Lily speculated and lay down next to him. Not long after Teddy had gotten everyone to lie on the floor with him. When Dumbledore walked in, he looked down on the six future kids, with an eyebrow raised and a smile on his face. He didn't comment and went to sit behind his desk, his hands clasped in front of him.
"Mr Lupin?"
"Yes Professor...?" Teddy mumbled from the floor.
"How would you like a new job?" In an instant, Teddy jumped off the floor and stood in front of Dumbledore. The look on his face was that of a little boy who had just gotten a big bag of sweets.
"Would I ever!" He exclaimed. "What is it?"
"A cleaning job. Mr Filch is panicking about the arrival of the two other schools in October and would like the school to be spick-and-span when they arrive. I believe he would benefit from some young help like you."
Teddy blinked at him, stunned. The other kids burst out laughing and rolled around on the floor clutching their stomachs. The great auror Teddy Lupin, demoted to janitor. Everyone said after Harry retired he's be the next head auror and yet, here he was.
That wasn't the funniest thing though. The funniest thing was that he actually accepted. And he did it smiling.
That paperwork must have been extremely bad.

The next morning Rose was down first, she couldn't stand the girls in her dorm and woke up an hour early to make sure she didn't have to speak to them. No one else was in the hall when she woke up, so she settled down on the Gryffindor table with a book she took from the library. Unfortunately her idiot cousin and his friend decided then would be a good time to stalk in. They plopped themselves down on the bench opposite her and slammed their heads onto the table.
Rose raised an eyebrow at them. "What's up with you two?"
"Boy in our room-" Albus groaned.
"Snores so loud-" Scorpius added.
"Didn't get-"
"Any sleep.""Whatever." She said, going back to her book. "You two are going to have to scram soon, you know."
"Whaaaat?" They complained. "Wwwwhy?"
"Because you're Slytherin's and this is the Gryffindor table."
"But we always sit with you guys before breakfast." Albus said, momentarily forgetting they were in the past.
"And you can carry on sitting here in 27 years."
"That's a long time." Scorpius said, also forgetting.
"I'm not even going to try to talk to you anymore," she said, giving up. "You can sit here for as long as you want. Just don't expect me to come save you when my dad gets here and hates on you."
"What do you mean?" Scorpius asked, seriously confused at this point. "Your dad's awesome!"
"Wow... When you said you didn't get any sleep I thought you were exaggerating." They really don't remember, poor guys. It's gonna suck for them when dad gets here, she thought. He's going to kill them. Any nice person would do something to warn their cousin and friend. Unfortunately for said cousin and friend, Rose was not a nice person- at least not to them- so this would be very intersting.
Not long after James arrived. "What's up with them?" He pointed to Al and Scorpius who were fast asleep on the table at this point.
"They didn't get any sleep. They don't remember a thing."
"Really?"
"Yep"
"So they don't-"
"Nope."
"And you didn't-"
"Nope."
"And he's-"
"Yep."
James thought for a moment, then said, "That's evil Rose Weasly... I'm in."
A little while later Ron Weasley walked in, and he was not very happy to see two Slytherins drooling on his table.
"Hey!" He yelled, startling Al and Scorpius awake. Scorpions was so scared he tripped over the bench and landed on the floor on his back. Upon seeing Ron, he scrambled to his feet and ran to the Slytherin table, leaving poor Al all alone to face his Uncle's wrath.
"Uncle Ron-" Al started, wiping his eyes.
"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!?" The hall went silent.
"Nothing... Sorry" Al said and ran off.
Ron let it go, and just complained about Slytherins sat at his table. But Hermione, who had witnessed the whole ordeal didn't and started planning doing a little research on the 'transfer students'.
