A few weeks had passed since Don's and Darnell's night of ecstasy. Don ended up spending the night as they went round for round not wanting to separate from each other. The next morning they decided to have breakfast and talk about what they really wanted.Don wasn't ready for a relationship. He enjoyed what they were doing and surprisingly Darnell felt the same. They were having fun getting to know each other in more ways then one and didn't want to ruin anything by complicating things with a relationship.
Darnell and Don knew that having a relationship took time and dedication and they both couldn't give 100% so they decided not to try at all. The most they could do right now was continue to enjoy each other's company and focus on accomplishing what they wanted to do in their own lives.
Don was preparing to open up more clubs and Darnell pictured herself owning her own daycares and recreation centers. Eventually she wanted to go back to school and get her business degree so she could learn the in and outs of owning and starting up her own businesses.
With their own goals and aspirations, being friends was their best bet for now.
It was now Monday morning and Darnell was getting ready to return back to work. As she pulled her hair up into a tight ballerina bun, she felt her stomach start to bubble. She took a minute to breath in and out trying to get rid of the feeling but couldn't. She felt her mouth start to water and rushed to the toilet to let out all the contents that occupied her stomach.
She wiped her eyes as tears came out due to the harsh acid she had in her throat. Finally done she got up from the toilet and flushed it. She walked over to the sink brushing her teeth again for the second time this morning and fixed her make up then finished getting ready.
Darnell didn't think much of the situation. She chucked it up to her being nervous of returning to work after so long or maybe something bad she ate the night before.
Before she left home she grabbed a water bottle from the fridge chugging it down and headed out. When she arrived her coworkers welcomed her back with open arms and she jumped right back in as if she never left. Soon Don and Kaydence where coming through the door.
Some time had passed since Darnell and Kaydence had seen each other and there reunion was something special. Kaydence was now forming more words and was able to express how she felt.
"Ms. D me miss you." She screamed running to Darnell as she came into the door.
Darnell stooped down embracing Kay in her arms wrapping her up in a tight hug. To say they missed each other was an understatement. They had grown so close with the time they spent together. Darnell promised herself she would make more time to spend with Kay no matter what she had going on.
She finally made eye contact with Don and began to blush under his gaze.
"Good morning Mr. Taylor."
"Good morning Ms. Darnell."
Don and Darnell decided that they would keep it professional at the daycare. Dating a parent wasn't against any rules but they rather keep there relationship to themselves. When others knew about what they had going on, the more drama would be brought into it.
Don got Kay settled in and they said their goodbyes.
When all of her babies were in class Darnell was excited to get back into her routine.

After a long week of work Darnell still wasn't feeling well. She was sick most days from throwing up to her body aching. She decided to make a doctors appointment to see what was going on with her. The last thing she wanted to do was spread a sickness around the daycare full of young children.
