Clarke sighed as she exited her tent and looked up at the cloudy sky. Winter was rapidly on its way and they didn't have the supplies to survive it. She looked around at the 100 workers, peacefully going about their work, inforcing the walls.

If Bellamy would just listen, but no, all he cares about is keeping the people scared. To build the wall. To protect them. Arrogant, but he did make sense. No one would go with her to get supplies, she doubted Bellamy would even let them.

Cursing under her breath she entered the drop ship, memories of the previous day clattering through her mind. They had tortured a man. Tortured him. She had let it happen.

"Clarke!" Finn said, going to sit. She hurried foward and pushed him onto his back, smiling tightly.

"You were stabbed, poisoned, Finn. I'd like it if you just sat still." Clarke said, checking his wound.

He was watching her, watching her with the eyes that had fooled her, tricked her into thinking she loved him. That he had loved her.

Just as though her thoughts had been heard, the dropship curtain opened and Raven came in. She flashed Clarke a reproachful look before turning to Finn. "You're awake!" She exclaimed, moving to his side.

Clarke stepped back and watched for a moment, but the second Raven's lips touched Finn's Clarke turned to leave.

She was so distracted she almost didn't notice Bellamy as he entered. She just about stepped out of his path and they both stopped.

He looked down at her and glanced at the scene behind her. Feeling her cheeks flare, she ignored him and continued on her way.

Clarke found Jasper and went about helping him and Monty at the rationing station. Anything to distract herself, from Finn, Bellamy, the mysterious grounders and from the oncoming Winter. It was growing colder by the day. Even now, when she looked around, she saw that people were experimenting with what little they had, to make themselves warmer clothes - blankets worn as shawls, moss lining their boots and some had given their jackets to others, sharing and taking turns.

Clarke had been fearful the first several days on the ground that the 100 would kill each other before the grounders or the earth and radiation had the chance. Bellamy's leadership seemed to be cementing that fear at first. He had changed a little yes, but he was still reckless, arrogant and dangerous - but the others were working together, making friends not gangs and gathering food not ingredients for more moonshine...well a little bit of both.

"Clarke, there isn't enough." Monty said quietly to her as Jasper turned away to sort some more bags.

"I know." She said somberly, nodding. "I spoke with Jaha the other night, he spoke of a supply depot. Not too far, a days treck." Clarke said quietly.

"Then what are you still doing here?" Monty asked.

"I can't go alone. Who would even come with me? Everyone here is set on getting that wall up!"

"With good reason."

"I know."

Monty sighed, "Jasper and I, we will come with you-"

"No. No, you are needed here. You and Jasper are the only two people here who I completely trust." Clarke said, grinning at the proud smile on Monty's lips.

"Clarke-"

"Are you two slacking?" Jasper chuckled, interrupting. "And Monty was just lecturing me about eating the rations." Jasper moaned, popping a berry into his mouth.

"And he was right." Clarke said lightly, taking the tray of fruit and nuts from him and passing them to Harper who was smiling smugly as she beheld the scene. Jasper then went to her and they started to argue playfully.
