Clarke

"So what do you want to do today?" Clarke asked, lacing her fingers with Lexa's.

"Well I thought we could just talk." Lexa said slowly and Clarke nodded, sensing something off about her.

"Okay, what do you want to talk about?" Clarke asked playfully.

Lexa pulled her hand free and turned to face Clarke fully. They stopped walking.

"Lexa?"

"I want to talk about Bellamy. More specifically, your relationship with him." Lexa said, folding her arms, and Clarke scoffed, her chest burning.

"What do you mean?"

"I saw you before, were you even going to tell me the baby was kicking?" Lexa asked, the hurt clear in her eyes.

"Lexa! Of course I was-"

"But you went to Bellamy first. You always do."

"Lexa he was just there when it happened..." Clarke stammered, knowing that even if it had happened when he wasn't there, he would have been the first person she went to. "Lexa he's the father, what do you expect?"

"Yes. He's the father, due to a drunken mistake. I'm your girlfriend Clarke. I'm the one who loves you!" Lexa exclaimed and Clarke winced.

She hated it when Lexa said that, because, although Clarke really liked her, she wasn't in love with her.

"Yes but he wants to be involved, and he's my friend!" Clarke said. "Is that going to be a problem?" Clarke asked, her eyes stinging and her hands instinctively going around her stomach protectively.

"Do you have feelings for him?" Lexa asked and Clarke hesitated.

"No! No I don't!" She said hastily and it was Lexa's turn to scoff. "Lexa I want to be with you."

"And I want to be with you, but I don't get you when he comes as part of the deal! Not all of you." Lexa said darkly and Clarke sighed.

"You knew this when we started dating, what's different now?" Clarke asked and Lexa looked her up and down like she was a stranger.

"Everything."

Bellamy

He had spent all day working on the cabin and the sun was fading now.

He had just washed in the nearby stream, dressed and was returning to his tent.

The night was a warm one and he enjoyed listening to the sound of the birds. He had been a buzzing ball of happiness all day after feeling his baby kick, after sharing that moment with Clarke.

He unzipped his tent and ducked inside, pausing when he saw the person sat on the edge of his bed.

"Clarke?" He moved further into the tent and saw that she was crying. "Clarke what's happened?" He asked, sinking to his knees in front of her and taking her hands in his.

"Lexa and I...we had a fight." She said inbetween sniffles. He passed her a tissue and she wiped her eyes.

"What about, I'm sure you can figure it out."

"You."

"What?"

"It was a fight about you. I think she feels left out of the loop and she seems to think..."

"What?"

"She thinks I have feelings for you, which is absurd!" Clarke stated and Bellamy winced, plastering a fake smile onto his lips.

"Yeah, absurd!" He nodded and Clarke looked uncertain for a moment. "Well can't you find a way to prove to her how badly she is wrong?"

Clarke shook her head and Bellamy exhaled, sitting down beside her.

"I dont know what to do." Clarke sighed.

"You like her?" Clarke nodded.

"But I don't love her." Shs said quietly and Bellamy couldn't help but feel a little relieved.

"So, are you two..."

"Over? Yes." Clarke said and she sounded as relieved as Bellamy felt.

Bellamy wrapped his arm around her shoulders and she rested her head on his.

Clarke

She realised, while sitting in Bellamy's hold, just how tired she was. She looked up at him and saw that his eyes were dazed with exhaustion too.

"You're the only person I can truly rely on." She said quietly, "I have to think with the baby's best interests at heart, but I don't want you to be this baby's father, simply out of guilt. Like this is somehow your fault."

"I don't think that, Clarke I want this."

She found his free hand and squeezed it gently. There was so much more she wanted to tell him because, somehow, I always find my way back to you, Bellamy Blake.
