Joker ran through the con, merging in with the crowd to lose the police that are on his tail. He had left Hachi back at the Sky Joker to make super, and because it was hard enough to move through the huge crowd by himself. Suddenly, he collided head on with someone.
"Ow, that hurt- OH MY GOD SHADOW IS THAT YOU?"
"JOKER WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?"
"I'M STEALING A TREASURE WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?"
Shadow did not answer. Rose decided to make her presence known.
"They released a new volume of his favourite manga, and they're only selling it here."
"ROSE WHY WOULD YOU TELL HIM THAT?!?"
Joker ignored the angry darkness and faced Rose.
"Okay, I can understand why Shadow's here, but why are you here?"
"He promised me he would take me out for apple pie afterwards."
Joker pondered this for a moment.
"But if he buys the manga, doesn't that mean you won't have enough money for apple pie?"
Rose's face darkened.
"Joker what have you unleashed upon me."
"Hey, I'm not the one breaking promises."
"THERE HE IS!"
Joker spun around to see the task force charging at him.
"Oops, gotta go."
He then vaulted over the heads of the twins, and used the skylight to escape, leaving Shadow to face his doom.
