"Do we have to go out tonight ?? What's the big deal about new years anyways ?"
"[Y/N] don't be a party-pooper, it'll be fun !" Jaehwa said through the phone.
Jae and I have been hanging out a lot for the past couple of months. He's the only one who's there for me now. In this time that we've spent together, I could tell that he's really changed. He's been taking my mind off of Yoongi and Bangtan which is what I really need.
"But it's cold outttt and why do you wanna go to a party with random strangers ??" I whined.
"If you don't wanna go to the bar, can we at least hang out still ? You wanna come over to my place instead ?"
"Fine .."
"Yay ! Be here by 10:30 okay ?"
"Okay, I'll see you later, Jae."

[ yoongi's point of view ]
"It's only 8 and you're already drinking like its 12, what the hell Agust" Joon (Rap Monster) scolded.
"It's new years mannnn, gotta celebrate" I said drunkly.
"Are you just finding an excuse to drink away your pain again ?" I nodded. "Dude, it's been like half a year since she left. You need to get over her."
"I am. This is how I'm doing it." I said, taking a long sip from my bottle of vodka.
"Do it in a more healthy way" Joon said, taking the bottle away from me and walking away.
"Fuck you" I yelled.
"Shut up, get ready for the party"

I stood outside Jae's door in the cold, patiently waiting for him to answer.
"Hey ! Come in !" He said politely. We walked over to his living room and I set my coat down on one of the armchairs. I plopped down on the couch comfortably while Jae headed to the kitchen to get us some drinks and snacks.
"Soju or wine ?" He yelled from the kitchen.
"Wine please !" I yelled back.
As he returned with two glasses and the wine bottle, he made a subtle comment to me.
"You look great by the way ..."
"O-Oh, really ? Thanks .." I said shyly. I was a bit surprised. I didn't even try to look good tonight. I was just in a comfortable turtle neck sweater and leggings, not even wearing a ton of makeup either.
He then poured us some wine and sat down beside me. For awhile, we were just talking and watching TV. Although everything we were doing was simple, we still enjoyed ourselves.

I leaned against the bar table sipping on what seemed like my fiftieth drink. Everyone here at BigHit's company party looked like they were having the time of their lives. Everyone except me.
