The Altruist

I'm not sorry for myself,

I do not grieve for attention.

All is for you,

My tears fall along with yours.

As your building collapses

My pillars crash down,

One tap and its all on the ground.

All of it, falls down.

I crash through your broken walls

As the bricks fall from mine,

Just to hold your roof up,

As my world comes tumbling down.

When will you understand,

I did this for you not me.

You do not deserve this,

You deserve so much more.

If only I did more, but its too late now.

Your roof is on the floor,

Your walls have crumbled down,

And you're standing in line for death row.

I wish I could do more,

But just like you,

I lay on the floor,

For my building has collapsed,

And I am the one who broke down the wall.

I am here for you,

But I am nothing if I lose you.
