I am collapsing,
Walls falling down.
My shell is cracking,
I am without a home.
Why here?
Back in this ugly state.
Mental state
Security in the form of a rental estate.
Trapped in a prison
But free to roam,
Only problem is
I'm constantly alone.
Back down the hole we go,
Where we land no one knows.
Crashing as we fall,
Just to crawl back up
To gain footing on crumbling ground.
Don't let the clear skies disguise,
The rolling thunder to bring my demise.
Lightning strikes down my thoughts
And tears pour as the rain.
Falling.
Save me. Please.
Hold an arm out to grab.
But it's too late, I'm too far down.
Nothing to hold on to, but myself.
May as well lay back down.
And fall back to asleep.
Even in my dreams,
No escape,
From this place I made,
The place I love,
Which I have learned to hate.
I can not run.
To try to run is to run from myself,
But I will never escape my shadow.
Chasing my shadow until it will soon chase me.
Like the moon and the sun.
And the dance of the eclipse.
