Redemption of a Fallen Angel (Ari)

38 4 1

Just behind your ocean eyes,
Burns a white-hot fire.
And what I see, as those embers fly,
Is a boiling rage, a dark soul's desire.

I can hear its howling wind,
Blending in your screams.
I can see your pain and anger,
The fight to have your soul redeemed.

I know what it must cost,
To always, look beneath your surface,
To see the pain that you have caused,
And feel as though my fight's not worth it.

But when the darkness wakes,
I'll light your soul with stars,
And underneath my tender touch,
I'll erase your guilt-laced scars.

I'll find what they said was damaged,
Darker than the abyss,
I'll sew in it a scorching fire,
The light shining within you endless.

I'll breathe in you my oxygen,
So that the fire will not sway
Against the cold hands, of your master,
Or you, his immortal slave.

I won't leave you forsaken,
I won't let you fall,
All because of this darkness,
That seems to tower over you, so tall.

I'll kiss away your fears,
That you could hurt, or break me
Because I know, that within your hands,
I am safest.
