Winter! Why?!

Qibli opened his eyes and looked over to where his ice cold bestie usually sleeps. But he didn't see him..

That's weird... he always waits for me..

He sat up- more like jolted- and spun his head around in search of pale blue scales.

Nothing.

Qibli leaped out of bed and into the hall way. His eyes scanning every room and hallway.

Nope.

He came out into the cafeteria. He looked at every table and every slightly blue tint in every stone.

Not here.

He growled under his breath when he heard the bell signal the start of first class. He trudged to art class, bored out of his mind. When he got there, he was the second to last, instead of first like usual. He sighed and sat down in his normal spot beside an empty seat that would have been where Winter would sit.

I never thought a day without him could be so boring...

He went through his next two classes and skipped lunch because he had more important things to do.

"Hey... Tsunami?" "Hm? Oh! Hey what's up Qibli?" Qibli moved over and sat beside his teacher. "I was wondering if you've seen Winter lately? I haven't seen him all day..." Tsunami looked confused but her expression soon became sympathetic. "He... didn't tell you.. did he? I though you would've been the first one he told..." "t-tell me what??" There was a short and silent pause.

"Queen Glacier pulled Prince Winter out to participate in the the Diamond Trials."

...DIAMOND TRIALS??
