I hate cities, they make me feel claustrophobic.

I glanced at the regular mortals walking down the streets.

For them, it's just another regular day. They don't even know who I am. Back at camp, I'm like a celebrity. I saved the world. I saved all of these people walking down the street. But they dodn't now, and they never will. They have no idea who I am...

Wow, step back. DEEP THOUGHTS. Not good for my brain. It can't handel anything that advanced.

I stop for a minute and study the map I printed back in the libruary, right before Khione -

And then my chest feels as if it's on fire. A visious, stabbing pain that almost makes me black out.

I lean against the wall of some shop selling post-cards, gasping for breath. People give me funny looks but I don't care.

The pain slowly retreats until it's only a dull ache inside of me.

I close my eyes for a second.

Contol it. Conceal it, don't feel it, don't let it show.

I look at the map again, it's like a spider-web, just looking at it gives me a headache.

Frustrated, I chuck it out onto the road in front of me. Cars and lorries rumble past. I try to focus on the sound of engines whirring past, machines always calm me down.

After a few minutes of standing staring into space, my brain kicks in.

Wake up Fire-boy! Every second you wait here, Calypso could be moving further away from you!

In the past, the 'bluff my way through' straterjy  has never failed me, but now I need to try something new.

What would Jason do?

Easy. He would make a plan,

A carefully planned .... plan.

And it would work.

Plans weren't my strong point.

OK, new idea! Wonder around aimlessly until I stumble across 'Nemesis Private Detecive Firm' (seriously - who calls their bussiness that?)!

- 2 and a half hours later-

I have carefully studied my situation and come to the conclution that - I am lost.

It must be, about 4pm by now? I'm just about ready to drop.

I lean against a window of a small shop.

Then it happened.

Later, I would never be able to explain exactly happened, but it was something like this:

Across the street was a row of shops, windows full of bright posters. A blur of pedestrians walked by. And then I saw, a shadow. A shodow of a person, who wasn't there.

Don't ask me why I noticed it, because I don't know, but there was the shadow of a person, but no-one to cast a shadow. I watched for a few minutes, and yes. This shadow didn't belong to anyone in the crowd of people.

A warm memory flooded into my head.

*Flashback*

Lazy days on the beach, someone was playing music, I don't recognise the song... Calypso starts to tap her feet to the rythum of the music. She smiles, "I like this song!" she laughs and scrambles to her feet, grabbing my hand and pulling me up too. "Come on Valdez, don't you know how to dance?" she teases.

'A waltz when she walks in the room'

Calypso took my hands in hers.

'She pulls back the hair from her face'

We began to slowly dance on the sand

'She turns to the window to sway in the moonlight'

We drift down the beach to the edge of the water

'Even her shadow has grace'

Calypso wrapped her arms around my waist and rested her head on my chest.

We danced until the song ended, and then we kept dancing until the tide had risen to our waists.

*Flashback ends*

And then I see who is casting the shadow. A slender figure in a long, floaty clock is moving silently amoung the crowd of mortals. Even from the opposite side of the street, I can tell she's making no sound as she moves.

She will not turn to face me, I cannot see her face...

Somewhere in the back of my head, a voice is yelling 'monster!' but my gut says, no. She's no danger to me, I think, she's trying to help me...

Slowly I turn to look at the shop behind me, only it's not a shop. It's an office and the name above the door reads...

Nemesis Privite Detective Firm.

I glance back across the street to mouth the words 'thank you' to the cloaked figure. But she has gone, I wonder if she was ever really there at all. But she must have been, because she told me what to do, told me to turn around and look.

Does this chapter make sense? Sorry if it doesn't, I wanted to get another chapter posted because I haven't updated for AGES! Sorry, writers block :(

Not much happens in this chapter, again, sorry.

The song was Josh Groban's 'So She Dances' my friend is obsessed with it at the moment...

Thanks for reading! Love ya Peeps :p
