*Lapis POV*
The day started out normal, with my normal routine.
1.Avoid Jasper ✔️
2.Talk to Peri about Camp Pining Hearts ✔️
3.Make a paper airplane ✔️
4.Daze off as Pearl gives you a lecture about wasting paper✔️
But, things got weird fast. Peridot was all, "Wait a minute, am I forgetting something?"
And I was all, "Why are you asking me?"
And she was all, "We have a project due today"
Then it hit me, a few weeks ago Ms.White Zircon assigned a project to make a map of Beach City. Me and Peridot thought it was stupid, so we decided we would be perfect partners. Anyway, I totally forgot about it.
"Dude!" Said Peridot "I heard that she throws people out the window, if you forget an assignment."
I did what's right when I heard this and politely corrected everything she said.
"First, I am not a 'Dude' and second that's highly unlikely and third we are definitely done for"
"Well, what do we do?"
I concocted a plan, the most brilliant one I must say.
"Lets run away!"
"That is the smartest thing I have ever heard."
I looked around, there was an open window right next to us.
"There!" I pointed
Peridot jumped with excitement and dove for the window and smashed into it with her forehead.
"I'm okay!"
She tried again and this time barely made and climbed out.
Luckily, no one was around because class was about to start.
I jumped gracefully out the window and landed perfectly on my feet.
"Dang" said Peridot
"What can I say? I just have a knack for escapism"
The bell rang behind us.
"Have we made the biggest mistake of our lives?" I said
"Nah" said Peridot "I've done worse"
"Then, lets go!"
